Get ready all you old school Taylor fans! The music star is reconnecting to her country roots and will be performing at the 2020 Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards.

Yesterday, the singer-songwriter announced that she will be performing at the ACM on Wednesday, September 16th. This will be Swift's first time performing at the award show since 2013 when the part-country star sang Tim McGraw's "Highway Don't Care" alongside McGraw and Keith Urban.

Taylor transitioned into pop music after the 2013 show and hasn't returned to the ACM for seven years. Now, she's set to perform for the first time ever her hit song 'betty,' from her latest album, folklore. We're excited to see the Grammy award-winner come full circle and return to where she started.

Seems like the singer is also looking forward to it, posting a promotional video for the awards show that includes the message "After seven years, Taylor Swift takes the ACM stage for the world premiere of her hit song, 'betty.'" The starlet captioned the post "Bout to show up at your party @ACMawards."

The talented artist surprise-released her eighth album in late July. During an online Q&A with fans, she said "No one knew I was making an album. It was my own secret world I'd go to." The songs on the album all tell a story, and luckily for us, the songwriter recently disclosed some fun facts about 'betty.'
In isolation my imagination has run wild and this album is the result. I’ve told these stories to the best of my ability with all the love, wonder, and whimsy they deserve. Now it’s up to you to pass them down. folklore is out now: https://t.co/xdcEDfithq

Swift admitted she named "all the characters in this story after my friends' kids." Fans speculate she is referring to Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds' children, James and Inez. This practically means the Reynolds are getting serenaded by Taylor, and we're so jealous.
