We've had grunge beauty, we've had crying-girl makeup, and now we're introducing the cold girl look! Yes, that's right, the beauty world is keeping up with the weather and channeling it into a new TikTok trend. With over 76 million views, people are obsessed with that flushed cheek, rosy lip face one gets after being outside in the cold too long. For some, the temperatures will be low enough that an artificial cold face will not be necessary. But, for those who are seeking that post-ski appearance without having to leave their house, we've got you covered - step by step.

TikTok user and makeup artist Zoe Kim Kenealy became the source of this trend when she uploaded a viral video showing her followers how to create this glowy, seasonal look. According to her instructions, it all begins with the foundation. CC Cream and tinted moisturizer will also work fine, but the key here is to have a smooth matte base. As to be expected, this trend involves a significant amount of blush on most parts of your face. Select your favorite blush shade and go big, brushing it across the apples of your cheeks, under your eyes, chin, nose, and even lips.

The next step is to apply a dot of highlighter to the corner of each eye on top of the cheekbones, across your eyelids, and at the tip of your nose, solidifying that wintery shimmer. Last but not least, apply some pink or red-toned lipstick in a matte or glossy finish. As demonstrated by beauty influencers like Mikayla Nogueira, Olivia Ancell, and Sarra Cherif, this makeup can be perfectly finished off with a cold beanie or earmuffs.

Talking to Byrdie magazine, Kenealy added some final tips for those looking to copy her look. "I would avoid blush shades that are too vibrant or pink. Otherwise, you will look more like you packed a lot of blush on and not necessarily cold," she explained. The creator also shared what inspired her to create the trend. "Every photo of a girl in cold weather with rosy cheeks gave me all the feels," she said. "So I thought I would make a TikTok attempting to create the look." With just four easy steps, we can't wait to give this one a go!
