Summer is officially over, meaning quite a few things: no more white jeans, trade in the sandals for boots, and nix the beachy blonde waves. Fall means real-world commitments before the holidays sink again, but it also means new wardrobes and trending hair colors, all thanks to some of our favorite it-girls. So what is the hair color of the moment? Let's take a look.
Fall is about new beginnings, and with new beginnings come fresh looks. Naturally, fall and winter tend to give more neutral and dark tones, providing a more sophisticated look rather than the fun and bright colors from summer. Beauty experts are seeing stars rock colors from rich fondue to chocolate cherry, mocha chocolate, and more - but the color that keeps on giving is copper.
Kendall Jenner originally coined this color back in the spring, but it's so good it's taking a second spin! The bold hair is coming back with celebs from Zendaya to Serena Williams and seems to be the color of not only the season but of the year. "It's all about copper this year," noted Alex Brownsell, co-founder and creative director of Bleach London. Jenna Perry, celebrity hair colorist, who recently nailed Maude Apatow and Grace Van Patten's gorgeous copper look, also agrees! "Copper red is equal parts sexy and playful," she explains. "I think this colour is most popular among people who want and are ready for a bold change."
Celebs are truly embracing the color of the year in all of its shades, from a light reddish tone to a coppberry and a burnished copper red-we're seeing it all. Celebrity hairstylist Matt Rez recently gave Ashlee Simpson Ross the perfect coppberry color- a mix between copper and strawberry blonde. "The base of this colour is an orange-y red with wisps of strawberry blonde accents all throughout," he explained. Love! Pam & Tommy star Lily James, who is no stranger to different hair colors, decided to hop on the copper hair trend this fall with a new hue we have yet to see from her - and well, she looks nothing short of an absolute vision. She can literally do no wrong! So with that in mind, we'll be running to the hair salon now.
