Glossier has officially announced that their products will be available nationwide at all Sephora locations! When the makeup brand first gained popularity, the only place that customers could shop the products was online - so this is a huge milestone for the company. Here's everything you need to know.
The exciting news means that we will finally be able to run to our local all and pick up the "boy brow" or our fav shade of the "cloud paint" in a pinch. And we guess we have Kyle Leahy to thank for that. Although she started at the company as the chief commercial officer, she was recently promoted to the CEO position after the founder, Emily Weiss, stepped down from the role. "Please join me in welcoming Kyle as the next CEO of Glossier. I'm beaming ear-to-ear writing these words; it's with a great deal of peace in my heart and optimism for the future of this brand that is, truly, only in its infancy–and means so much to so many," Weiss wrote in the announcement.
And it already seems like the new CEO has done a great job by landing Glossier their very first retail partnership. Apparently, the makeup brand is one of the most searched on Sephora's website even though it's not yet available at the LVMH-owned chain. Leahy revealed that having this partnership "marks a new chapter" for Glossier. Two years ago, they sadly had to close down three of their stores, including the one in SoHo, New York, which is where the brand is based.
But thankfully, in the past few months, they have been able to open storefronts in Seattle, Los Angeles, Miami, and London. And just last week, Glossier revealed that more locations would be popping up in Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Philadelphia, and Brooklyn. They also revealed that hopefully, by 2023, SoHo will once again have a Glossier flagship store! Looks like next year will be a busy one for the Gen-Z-obsessed makeup brand because that's also when the partnership with Sepora will begin. By early 2023 the infamous perfume, eyeshadows, blushes, and more will be available in stores across the U.S. and Canada, and of course, on the Sephora website! Until then, stay tuned.
