This week, Gwen Stefani took to her Instagram to unveil her newest project: Her very own makeup brand, 'GXVE Beauty.' Stefani is joining the ranks of other celebs who have created their own beauty empires, such as Rihanna's Fenty Beauty, Lady Gaga's Haus Laboratories, and Kylie Jenner's Kylie Cosmetics. The pop star's beauty brand will make its official debut on March 3. Here's what we know so far.
So, where did Stefani's love affair with makeup begin? Before Stefani was the Hollaback Girl singer, she worked behind the beauty counter in a mall giving people "make-overs," as she recalled. Stefani was the lead singer for one of the most legendary rock bands of all time, No Doubt, where the singer's iconic red lip and bold makeup choices came to fame. "There's nobody else who could come close to being more authentic about makeup than I am when it comes to doing a line because it's what I've been doing my entire life," Stefani explained. The Voice coach is known for doing her own makeup throughout her entire career, stating that makeup is like "war-paint." When it's on, she knows it's showtime. No doubt, girl.
Now that Stefani is launching her newest makeup venture, fans worldwide will finally get a taste of the singers' makeup essentials, including her signature red lip. "Old Hollywood always inspired my looks: the red lips, the matte powder, the cat-eye, sharp brow," she explained. So, what's the tea on the launch products? The products will vary from $28 to $48, and they are all vegan and cruelty-free. The collection will include an eye shadow palette, face primer, brow pencils, eyeliners, and of course, an array of lipsticks - including Stefani's perfect red.
