Her most recent technique has been circulating among beauticians. Now, she's giving us an insight into how she does it. Take a look.
Nikki Makeup has worked her way to the top of the beauty pyramid, standing out next to Makeup By Ariel and Makeup By Mario. Now, she has 2 million loyal followers who follow her every tip and trick in the book. Her range of IG highlights offers seasonal looks and travels back in time to the 50s, 60s, and 70s for old-school inspiration. But her smokey cat eye has been the most requested look by celebs in her most recent appointments. Her tutorial has gone viral on TikTok, with the hashtag #smokeywingedliner, and her 12 million followers can vouch for it. It's the perfect production of fierce Glamour. While the 2014 makeup artist in us is whipping out the scotch tape for a perfect winged liner, Nikki begs to differ and told Glamour exactly how she does it. Well, what's the secret?
Glamour dubbed this creation as a "game-changing technique." So, let's take it step-by-step. Overall, her client roster of Kim Kardashian, Hailey Bieber, and Alexandra Daddario is enough to convince us this should be the be-all and end-all in makeup tips. Firstly, the IG artist says she always uses pencils as a base for every eye look, "that way, the eyeshadow has something to grip onto... and it lasts really well throughout the evening." Step 1; use a creamy kohl pencil to line the upper lid. Nikki suggests using waterproof and is a big fan of the MAC Eye Kohl in Costa Riche. By drawing along the "natural angle of your bottom lash... you're going to get a shape that's flattering and lifting for the eye." Step 2; Soften with shadow. Brush the eyeshadow along the lash line for a "soft, smoke effect that will keep your liner in place." Nikki is a big fan of Victoria Beckham's Lid Lustre in Velvet. Step 3; adding intensity. Liquid liner is optional, but stroking on some mascara and, particularly, on "a few individual corner lashes" should magically complete the look. Think you can give it a shot?
