We've always promised to update you on all make-up trends, for better or worse. No matter how controversial a beauty look may be, if it's popular, we'll break it down for you, judgment-free. One new beauty trend that's had everyone talking is the grunge look. The 'lived-in' style somehow gives bold confidence and effortless vibes at the same time. If you're still not sure what you should be aiming for with this look, try channeling your inner glamorous grungy teenager. No clue how to bring this look to life? Don't worry; we've got you covered as always.

One of the most prominent features of the grunge look is the smoky eye shadow. Opt for eyeshadow pallets that include a selection of gray, black, and cool-brown shades. If your shadow skills are limited, simply swipe a grey shadow over your lids and then add a darker tone to the corners. Of course, the smokey eye look would not be complete without multiple black mascara coats and black eyeliner. Use any black pencil liner and apply it to the waterlines of your upper and lower lashes. If you really want to look like you've woken up from the night before, take a small brush and buff it out with quick, sweeping movements—messy perfection.

The next step to complete the grunge look is brown lips. To create the perfect brown-shaded lip, we recommend a brown-toned lip kit or matching lip liner and stick. Line (or overline) your lips with the pencil, then fill in the lips entirely. Complete the look with matching creamy lipstick to bring it all together.

The last two steps are simple yet incredibly effective. Ensure your skin looks glowy and natural by tapping on a foundation with a wet sponge only in the high-coverage areas and finishing off with blending. It's giving youthful, carefree, and ready for adventure. Finish off by brushing up your eyebrows and gelling them over to keep them polished and in place. Grab all the necessary products and get grunging! It's surprisingly quick and easy to create!
