The founder and Global Creative Director of Lancôme, Lisa Eldridge, has been working her magic on our favorite stars for years. Safe to say, the makeup guru definitely knows a thing or two about what looks people can't get enough of. Here's what she predicts will be the latest rage this year...

Now, we know eyeliner isn't anything new, but in 2022, expect to see lots of winged eyes. "Not everyone suits a massive eyeliner wing, and it's hard to achieve in real life without literally taping your face. I've always loved Kitten flick liner instead. It gives you that winged look without being so theatrical," she explained. The best part? You don't have to be so precise! Applying eyeliner can be difficult, but this trend is as easy as it gets. Eldrige explained: "You can get away with just applying eyeliner at the root of the lashes, and it still looks really nice. Then, when you get to the outer edge, use a powder eyeshadow on the lower lash line and use a brush to sweep it up and out."

As for lipsticks? "Now, I'm seeing way more bright pink shades, whether muted bright pink or smokey bright pink," Eldridge teased. And that is not the only makeup trend going lighter because blush is back! "The way to wear it now is definitely in a more painterly way using cream and liquid blushers. The technique is a lot more hands-on - applying it to the bridge of your nose and low on the cheeks... Then, whatever you've got left on your fingertips, apply to your eyelids." This technique will also help enhance your cheekbones.

Lastly, when it comes to brows? Eldridge believes this year we'll be seeing more of the natural look. "It's about working out what brows look good on you and not overdrawing or filling them in too much. You've got to do what works for your face, not just what TikTok says," Eldrige explained. "There's a new generation of makeup wearers that don't care about the one face fits all... I'm seeing really interesting, inspiring makeup, and I haven't seen that out on the streets for such a long time."

We love to hear it! Stay tuned for more beauty tips.
