Ok, if we're being honest, we didn't see this one coming. But this latest celebrity collaboration has got us excited, to say the least. Vanessa Hudgens and Madison Beer have teamed up on a new skincare brand with an interesting twist: Your DNA. Here's everything you need to know.

Curious? We were too. So here's what they revealed. Their new brand, Know Beauty, took your everyday skincare routine and flipped it on its head. Instead, the company set out to examine almost 50 chromosomes that play a part in your skin's appearance. Elements like hyperpigmentation, sensitivity, and dryness were taken into consideration - and many more. Once the full DNA picture has been made clear, Know Beauty dermatologists, headed by Karen Kagha, would be able to provide an individualized regiment made for each customer.

Detailed, right? Well, that was the whole point, according to Know Beauty's founders. In a recent sit-down with Allure, Hudgens and Beer laid it all on the table and got real about their skin struggles that led to their new brand baby. Vanessa and Madison have ten years between them, but the age gap fueled their passion for finding skincare options that met their unique needs... But without having to suffer through the ups and downs of testing product after product. "We both have spent so much money and have felt frustrated with trying products that end up doing the opposite of what we want them to do," Vanessa admitted. Throw in some medical expertise from the third founder, Karen Kagha, and voilà: Know Beauty was born.

The company launched on June 22, and so far they've got options ranging from serums to eye creams all curtailed to each customer's DNA. Madison swears by the Clarifying Cleaners, which has helped clear out her pores with its healthy acidic properties. And as for Vanessa? Well, she wished she could have thought of this sooner. "If I could go back in time and give it to my younger self, it would have saved me a lot of time, money, and frustration," the 32-year-old admitted.
