Do you struggle to perfect your eye makeup, only to get smudgy eyeshadow or uneven eyeliner? Not to worry - we've got you covered with expert-approved tips to enhance your eye shape and achieve a long-lasting look.

According to experts, adjusting your eye makeup to work according to your eye shape is key. So, what's your eye shape? Find your celebrity eye twin or compare your eye shape to a helpful guide. For almond eyes, a light eyeshadow on the inner corners makes them pop while avoiding eyeliner or eyeshadow around your lids can create bigger, more open eyes. Additionally, winged eyeliner is ideal for almond eyes. Draw the thinnest eyeliner on the inner and outer corners and thicker on the middle two-thirds of the lash line. If you have round eyes, false lashes that are longer in the middle and shorter on the corners enhance your doe-eyed look. Applying light shimmer eyeshadow on the center of the lid and sweeping it to the inner corners can also make your eyes sparkle.

For hooded or monolid eyes, you can still create an ideal look with our expert-approved tips. Apply eye primer before eyeshadow to avoid smudging or transferring. Apply a matte neutral eyeshadow on the eye socket area before your eyeshadow to create the impression of a higher crease. For monolid eyes, blend a matte neutral-brown shadow in the eye socket area, and then apply shimmery eyeshadow on the middle of the lid and under the arch of the brow to highlight. Don't know how to enhance your upturned or downturned eyes? We've got you. For downturned eyes, draw eyeliner or dark eyeshadow on the lash line and smudge upward towards the outer corner. To lift your eyes, place lighter eyeshadow on the inner half of your eye and darker eyeshadow towards the outer half and blend. For upturned eyes, follow the upward angle of your eye shape while applying eyeshadow, and smudge it up and out. Choose false eyelashes with shorter lashes on the inner corner and more extended on the outer corner.
