Perhaps the one downside to summertime? Having to slather on that greasy sunscreen every time you make your way to the beach (or, outside, for that matter). Lucky for us, Naomi Osaka already knows that. That's why she's teamed up with professionals to bless us with the protection we never knew we needed...

On Wednesday, April 28, the tennis star took to the 'gram to announce her latest endeavor: Her very own skincare line! Dubbed KINLÒ, the beauty drop will officially be changing the name of the game. As they put it, they've "formulated [sunscreen] specifically for people with melanated skin tones." And you can bet we're here for it.

"I can’t wait to share my #KINLOSKIN journey with each of you," KINLÒ's mastermind, Naomi Osaka gushed of the big news. As for what to expect? According to Business of Fashion, the dreamy collection will consist of five products: Two tinted facial lotions, a body spray, chapstick, and eye cream.

And from the looks of it? The upcoming drop will not disappoint: KINLÒ has teamed up with the best of the best to deliver us, well, the very best. As BoF put it, Osaka partnered with Dr. Naana Boakye, MD, a dermatologist with experience treating our beautiful bronzed babes. In other words? We'll no longer need to worry about stubborn white residue after rubbing in our SPF.

But Osaka's latest endeavors will be blessing us with so much more than just our favorite new lotions: It'll be spreading awareness - something Naomi wishes she'd done sooner. "I used to tell people that I didn't need to wear sunscreen," the pro-athlete confessed of the misconception that darker skin doesn't burn.

"Even if you have melanin, you need to take care of your skin - and I am passionate about that," the KINLÒ goddess assured. Safe to say, we couldn't agree more. In fact, we stan a self-care queen. And suddenly, we can't wait to get our hands on the luxe collection, set to launch in Fall of 2021.

Until then, be sure to stay tuned for all the latest updates (and don't forget to keep applying that SPF!)
