Surprise, surprise, another viral beauty trend has taken over our For You Page! This time TikTok influencers are obsessing over a new eyelash hack that claims to take wearing false lashes to a whole new level. Here's everything you need to know about Manga Lashes.
Manga is a style of Japanese comic books and graphic novels, so clearly, these lashes are meant to be similar to how anime characters have their lashes done. A.k.a. very dramatic, whispy, and long! Typically the lashes have some long ones and some short ones, so there's a very specific technique makeup gurus have been using to achieve the look. All that you need to do is grab your favorite strip lash and cut them into different pieces. Or, of course, you can always just buy individual lashes to make things a bit easier. The next step is to attach the lashes to your eye using clear lash glue. And voila, you have a doll-like look that is sure to get all eyes in the room on you!
Luckily there are numerous videos on the social media app that explain exactly how to get Manga Lashes. One beauty influencer and the founder of Sacheu beauty, Sarah Cheung, posted a step-by-step tutorial. "I usually find that it's best to apply five to seven of these little individual lashes," she said as she cut her own lashes, getting ready to put them on. "There's definitely a little bit of a learning curve. I have to apply and adjust." But over time, you'll get the hang of it.

Thankfully though, the makeup guru shared some tips. "The key is just to make sure these lashes are longer than your natural lashes, and they are spaced apart enough so they have that spidery, spiky look." Sarah went on to do the same thing to her lower lashes to draw even more attention to her eyes. "[It's] definitely more challenging than my usual lash look," she wrote on her Instagram post showing off her lashes. "but I lurrrv how this looks, i feel like a whole doll!"
