An interviewer with the LA Times asked Addison about the Donald Trump speculations, she initially responded, "I don't feel comfortable talking about that." She went on to add that she felt it was "pointless" trying to convince people that she wasn't a Trump supporter. "There's nothing I can do to change that opinion," the 20-year-old celeb said. "I mean, I don't support Trump... and if someone doesn't, that's their opinion, and I respect everyone's opinion." And for the UFC meet and greet? Addy had an explanation for that too. "It's very rare on occasion that you ever get to meet a former President, and I think that most people could agree with me on that," she explained.

Fans first began to speculate that Addison was pro-Trump when a video circulated showing her going up and introducing herself at a UFC event back in July. The introduction was filmed by the Nelk Boys and posted on their YouTube channel before spreading like wildfire all over the internet. Fans and critics of Rae also did some digging of their own and uncovered some Twitter history of the He's All That actress. A tweet was found that read, "Who y'all voting for "rt" for Hillary Clinton "like" for Donald Trump," which Addison had liked. Paparazzi tried to get a comment, but the TikTok star wouldn't respond.

But this time, Addison wasn't ignoring the questions and instead, faced the rumors head-on. She claimed that going over to speak with Trump was nothing more than a friendly introduction and a rare opportunity to meet a former President, regardless of the political party. "I consider myself a friendly person," Rae explained. "So introducing myself does not mean I stand behind anything that any respective person condones."
