Grande and Gomez married each other after around two years of dating. The couple opted for a more private and small occasion. It was an intimate ceremony with 20 people in attendance. Grande’s rep told PEOPLE, “The room was so happy and full of love. The couple and both families couldn’t be happier.” The wedding took place in the couple’s home in Montecito, California. The Side to Side singer met her soon-to-be-beau because of a business deal. Gomez works at one of the elite real estate offices in Los Angeles, and Gomez was working on a deal with Grande, per Harper’s Bazaar. Although they started dating in January 2020, the couple wasn’t spotted together until a few months after, in March 2020. A source told PEOPLE, “Ariana doesn’t want to do another public relationship so she is trying to keep this one quiet, but she seems very happy with Dalton.” It seemed that everything had finally come together for the singer.

However, something seemed to go awry for the happy couple. Grande was spotted at Wimbledon over the weekend sans her wedding band and engagement ring. The actress has spent the year working and living in London as she films the upcoming Wicked movie starring Grande as Glinda and Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba. This isn’t the first time the 7 Rings singer has been seen without her ring, either. Last August, she posted a makeup tutorial on TikTok, and she wasn’t wearing her ring. Ari immediately shut down rumors of a relationship in peril, though. She said, “I’m just not wearing my wedding ring, it’s getting cleaned. I’m not getting a divorce before you start, don’t.” There has been no word from the singer ever since her Wimbledon appearance. A source told PEOPLE that Grande and Gomez separated earlier in the year and “have been quietly and lovingly working on their friendship.” The couple had recently celebrated their second wedding anniversary in May.
