This is something we just can't make up, you guys. After taking Architectural Digest on a tour of her latest house, Ashley Tisdale has been trending online for a little confession she made about her book collection. And people on the internet have a lot of feelings about it.
It all started when the magazine's incredibly popular YouTube channel stopped by the former child star's Californian home for a peek inside. Like most AD tours, Ashley pulled out all the stops while taking the film crew around. Not a pillow was out of place and the whole house looked like it fell out of a trendy design catalog. But, hey, that's the whole point right? And Tisdale wasn't hiding anything from us on the tour. She openly admitted to the frantic cleaning that took place since most of the time, the house is filled with her daughter Juniper's toys. And it was that spirit of honesty that led the 36-year-old actress to confess the last-minute purchases that happened to complete her home before filming. "These bookshelves, I have to be honest, actually didn't have books on it a couple of days ago," Tisdale laughed during her segment. "I had my husband go to a bookstore, and I was like, 'You need to get 400 books.'"
To Ashley, the whole thing was LOL-worthy, as she joked about how important it was to fill the bookshelves before Architectural Digest popped by - but folks online had mixed reactions. "This is just sad," one user tweeted out. While others came to the actress's defense. "People judging ashley tisdale for buying books for her OWN bookshelf with her OWN money, i hate it here," someone vented. And Ashley wasn't afraid to speak her truth either. "Any interior designer would have done the same. They do it all the time, I was just honest about it," she replied to one of her haters.
