It's no secret that news recently surfaced of the odd pairing between Avril Lavigne and Tyga after the singer called off her engagement to Mod Sun two weeks ago. And while you might have heard wind of this news, Abbey Bonadies' viral TikTok perfectly broke down just how strange the relationship is based on their respective dating histories.
To get a better understanding of Tyga's past relationships, we first have to go back to 2011-14 when he was in a highly publicized relationship with Blac Chyna and they had a son named King Cairo. After they split, Blac got engaged to Rob Kardashian—the father of her daughter Dream—in 2017 before they ended their relationship as well. During this time, Kylie Jenner—Rob’s half-sister—started dating Tyga when she was 17 years old, though it wasn’t until she turned 18 that things went public between them only for them to break up two years later. Interestingly enough, Brody Jenner—Kylie and Rob's half-brother—dated Avril from 2010-12; the two were even part of double dates with Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries before their wedding.
Confusing already? Just wait! Before getting involved with Blac Chyna, Tyga married Jordan Craig in 2010, shortly after which he filed for divorce just one month into their marriage. If the name doesn't ring any bells yet, that might be because Jordan Craig is also the mother of Tristan Thompson's eldest child, whom Khloé Kardashian shares another two children with. Kourtney Kardashian has also made headlines with her recent marriage to Travis Barker, who has professionally collaborated (and even signed Avril) multiple times over the years alongside Mod Sun.
