In true Queen B style, Beyoncé has made her return to social media and almost broken the internet in the process! For years now, the singer has maintained an extremely low-key online presence, strategically choosing her moments to post. With this latest return, she's decided to go against the norm with her announcement. Rather than creating a post as usually done in the industry, the singer simply updated her Instagram and Twitter bios to reflect big news. Here's what she had to say that's got everyone buzzing...
On June 16th, all our wildest dreams came true. Various streaming sites such as Tidal and Spotify took to Twitter to reveal that Beyoncé is back! Her seventh solo album, Renaissance, will be available July 29, 2022, and will include 16 songs. Rumor has it that the album will beautifully combine various music genres, including pop, dance, electronic, soul, hip-hop, and even country. Just as expected, Queen B fans were quaking. It has been a long six years since her last album, Lemonade, which was released in 2016.
A few days later, B broke her silence on the matter, updating her bios to announce in her own unique way that she would be releasing one song off the album ahead of the rest on June 20. Titled Break My Soul, the Grammy award-winning singer showed off exactly why she is the queen with this catchy tune. With soulful and dance tones, the song was an instant hit, and if this is a hint as to what we can expect from the rest of the album, we are all in for a treat. The album was produced in collaboration with Ryan Tedder, who Beyoncé worked with in 2008 to create one of her most iconic songs of all time, Halo.

The timing of this release will come as no surprise to the die-hard Beyoncé fans out there as the singer is known to release music around the time of Juneteenth, a holiday celebrated in the US on June 19th to commemorate the emancipation of enslaved people. In 2020, she release her single Black Parade on this date. If you need us, we'll be off replaying this song again and again until we have all 16 songs at our disposal. Stay tuned!
