Go ahead and raise those glasses, it appears a celebration is in order. This past week, Jay-Z ticked yet another accomplishment off the list: A business deal, with famed champagne company LVMH. And it wasn't long before a special somebody took notice.
After news broke online of the latest partnership, Tina Knowles rushed to the 'gram to share a few words of her own. Or should we say, to share a love letter like never before? But don't take our word for it. "This is a love letter to my son-in-law Shawn Carter," the proud star gushed, before taking us on a trip down memory lane.
"Today, Jay, I salute you and your latest venture in selling 50% of your Champagne Co. to LVHM," Knowles revealed. "You are a bad *** brother, and I hope that you continue to pave the way for others like you have in the past!!" But that's not all she had to say for herself. In fact, there was another reason Tina was caught up in her feelings.
Remember Super Bowl LV? You know, the championship we tuned into mere weeks ago; The one where The Weeknd slayed the half-time show? According to Knowles, we've actually got Jay to thank for that. "I was led to write this... because recently at the Super Bowl... I did not read one comment by one person that said that they were [not] pleased."
As she put it, the Tidal founder was in charge of arranging the half-time entertainment. And we'd say he did just fine. But multi-million dollar deals aside? Jay-Z has been a leading figure in more ways than one: "You have in turn influenced the Culture of Young Black Men," Bey's mom continued. "I have seen such extreme kindness... that people don’t even know anything about!"
Consider us intrigued... But while we may never know what's truly going down behind closed doors, we can tell you this: If there was ever any doubt before? Jay-Z and his supportive little clan are officially goals. And we can't wait to see what the future has in store for them.
And on that note, cheers!
