NSYNC & More: Meet the Lucky Ladies Behind These Heartthrobs
| LAST UPDATE 09/29/2022
Boy bands always seem to captivate the hearts of teenage girls. But there are a few special women who can grab these pop stars’ attention. Here's a look at the wives of famous boy band members…
Nick Carter & Lauren Kitt-Carter: Backstreet Boys
Nick Carter may have won the hearts of most girls in the 90s when he sang I Want It That Way. But there was only one girl who had his heart, Lauren Kitt. And Carter’s siblings knew the pair would get along.
His brother, Aaron, and sister, Angel, were the ones who set them up! After watching Big, starring Tom Hanks, on their first date, the two eventually married in Santa Barbara in 2014. Today, the lovebirds have three children together named Odin, Pearl, and Saoirse.
AJ McLean & Rochelle McLean: Backstreet Boys
When Rochelle Deanna Karidis met Backstreet Boys member AJ McLean, she worked as a waitress at Saddleback Ranch in Hollywood. And she actually told him no when he first asked her out! Two years later, she finally gave him a chance, and the rest is history.
Rochelle went on to work as a dancer, choreographer, makeup artist, and hairstylist. She was even featured in some of AJ’s music videos. The couple got married in 2011 in a goth-themed ceremony, which perfectly fit their personalities. They now have two girls, Ava and Lyric, together!
Brian Littrell & Leighanne Littrell: Backstreet Boys
Their love is really "Larger Than Life!" Brian Littrell met his wife, Leighanne, on the music video set for As Long As You Love Me. The 1997 hit turned out to be more than just a good song! The boy band member asked Leighanne to have a drink with him. And she said no to him because she already had plans.
Eventually, they agreed to get together. Brian claims that he remembers every detail of that day. The pair were married in 2000, which means they have been married for over 20 years! In 2010, the Littrells renewed their vows. They have a son, Baylee, who is also a singer.
Justin Timberlake & Jessica Biel: NSYNC
Jessica Biel does not need to say "Bye, Bye, Bye" to her husband, Justin Timberlake. While she is famous in her own right, the 7th Heaven actress also has another claim to fame – being a boy band wife! Not just any boy band either: NSYNC. The couple began dating in 2007 before briefly splitting in 2011.
Soon after, they reconnected and have been inseparable since. Biel and Timberlake married in Southern Italy in October 2012. They have two kids together, Phineas and Silas, and it seems that their love never stops! They constantly support each other in their respective careers and as parents. What a wonderful thing!
Chris Kirkpatrick & Karly Skladany: NSYNC
The founding member of NSYNC has been lucky in love and life. Even though Kirkpatrick may be part of the biggest band of the late 90s, Skladany has kept a very low profile throughout the years. They were married in a ceremony in Orlando, Florida, in 2013.
Luckily, all of his band members were present as he was married off to the love of his life. Kirkpatrick and Skladany had been dating for two and a half years before the It's Gonna Be Me singer proposed during a vacation in Italy. They now have a son, Nash Dylan.
Jesse McCartney & Katie Peterson: Dream Street
Jesse McCartney found the "Beautiful Soul" to complete his life in Katie Peterson! The former Dream Street band member tied the knot to Peterson in a beautiful ceremony in Carmel, California, in October 2021. Peterson is an actress who has also appeared in McCartney's music videos!
Peterson has also appeared in films like Step Up: Revolution and The Row. Like his wife, McCartney also acted in shows like Hannah Montana and The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. They met when she was tending a bar, and he came to celebrate a friend's birthday. Love can happen anywhere...
Nick Lachey & Vanessa Lachey: 98 Degrees
Love at first... or second or third. 98 Degrees band member Nick Lachey and TRL host Vanessa Minnillo met each other dozens of times before they actually began dating! It was not until Minnillo played Lachey's love interest in the music video for What's Left of Me that sparks flew for the couple.
In 2010, Lachey asked Minnillo to marry him, and they were married a year later on Sir Richard Branson's private island in the British Virgin Islands. What a location! The couple has three kids together. Today, they co-host the Netflix reality series Love Is Blind!
Drew Lachey & Lea Lachey: 98 Degrees
Dancing their way into love was how Drew Lachey and Lea Dellecave did it. Lea was a professional dancer hired to be the choreographer for her future husband's band, 98 Degrees. It did not take long for Drew to realize that his "My Everything" was Lea.
They married in October 2000 and have two kids, Isabella and Hudson. They have left the Hollywood life behind them, though, choosing to live in Cincinnati, Ohio. But their love for performing is still going strong. They have a non-profit called Lachey Arts that offers classes in the arts to youth.
Jeff Timmons & Amanda Timmons: 98 Degrees
Amanda Timmons has more than just her husband's boy band, 98 Degrees, to thank for their meeting. They met when Jeff Timmons co-hosted a New Kids on the Block event for Jordan Knight. Apparently, he was attracted to Amanda because she had no idea who he was or anything about his fame!
The Invisible Man singer married his love at Chateau Nightclub in Las Vegas. The couple has been married for 11 years now and has three children. Today, Amanda is all about her family. Even in her Insta bio, she states that she is Jeff's "wifey" and "mommy to a Princess & 2 Princes!"
Shawn Stockman & Sharonda Stockman: Boyz II Men
Sharonda Stockman has been by her man's side for 21 years. That man is Boyz II Men singer Shawn Stockman. The couple first started dating at the height of the boy band's fame in the 90s. The band is so famous that a street in Philadelphia nearby where the members attended high school was renamed Boyz II Men Boulevard!
Eight years after Sharonda met Shawn, they were married in 2001. Shortly after having their twins, they discovered that Micah had Autism. Since then, they started a non-profit called Micah's Voice to help families affected by Autism. And we couldn't be happier for the happy family.
Paul McCartney & Nancy Shevell: The Beatles
It definitely was not a "Hard Day's Night" for Nancy Shevell when she took a stroll around her Hamptons neighborhood in the summer of 2007. She happened to bump into The Beatles star, who was also renting a house in the same community that summer!
Instantly, they fell in love and married in October 2011. They enjoyed a honeymoon in the Caribbean together. Shevell was even approved by McCartney's daughter Stella before they got hitched! She and McCartney enjoy spending time together and even confess to singing Beatles songs.
Ringo Starr & Barbara Bach: The Beatles
Before she was a Beatles girl, she was a Bond girl: Barbara Bach, who has been married to Ringo Starr for 40 years, was first the lover of 007. She played Major Anya Amasova in the 1977 film The Spy Who Loved Me alongside Roger Moore. But it was also a movie set where the Hey Jude drummer and Bach met!
They met on the set of the film Caveman. It was love at first sight because only a year later, they were married in 1981. The ceremony occurred at the Marylebone register office, and they celebrated at a London club afterward. While they have no kids together, they have children from prior marriages.
Donnie Wahlberg & Jenny McCarthy: New Kids on the Block
Jenny McCarthy is a boy band wife - and who would have ever thought that! As captured below, the actress met her now-husband while they were both doing appearances on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. Donnie Wahlberg was a member of New Kids on the Block, briefly alongside his brother, actor Mark Wahlberg.
They tied the knot in a romantic ceremony outside Chicago in August 2014. Today, the couple own a production company called Work Baby, and they just signed a deal with Lionsgate to develop unscripted content. So there will be much more from this former boy band member and his wife!
Nick Jonas & Priyanka Chopra: Jonas Brothers
Priyanka Chopra is not only an actress but also the wife of boy band icon Nick Jonas. Way back in 2016, Jonas slid into her DMs. But when the couple first got together, the famous boy band was broken up at the time. They returned in 2019 with their breakout hit, Sucker, and Chopra was even in the music video!
Jonas's love for Chopra really must have been "Burnin' Up" because he proposed with a Tiffany cushion-cut diamond ring that was worth $200,000. They also had four wedding receptions when they got married! The singer and Chopra share three dogs and a baby girl, Malti. How sweet.
Joe Jonas & Sophie Turner: Jonas Brothers
She dominated Game of Thrones, and now she is on to her next adventure - being a boy band wife! Actress Sophie Turner and Jonas Brothers member Joe Jonas met through mutual friends back in 2016. 3 years later, they got hitched in Vegas after the 2019 Billboard Music Awards, which was live-streamed by DJ Diplo!
The wedding had an Elvis impersonator and everything! The couple also had a formal celebration in France. The Year 3000 singer and his wife are now parents to two baby girls. While they mostly keep private, Turner starred alongside her sisters-in-law in the Sucker music video and is always supportive of her JoBro fam!
Kevin Jonas & Danielle Jonas: Jonas Brothers
Imagine going on vacation and meeting the love of your life. That is precisely what happened to Kevin and Danielle Jonas! Both families were vacationing in the Caribbean when Kevin spotted Danielle. She was a hairdresser in New Jersey and only lived an hour away from where the Jonas family grew up.
They got together and were married in 2009. Kevin's dad officiated! Danielle and Kevin later nabbed a reality show on E!, Married to Jonas, and wrote a children's book, There's a Rock Concert in My Bedroom. Danielle also has her own jewelry line that she promotes when she's not busy raising their 2 children!
Jacob Underwood & Chandler Underwood: O-Town
Back in the day, Underwood was a member of the boy band group O-Town, which was formed during the first season of ABC's reality television series Making the Band. He eventually met his soulmate in Nashville, where he spotted his future wife singing at a bar.
They have a daughter, Everest, who was the flower girl at their wedding ceremony. But before the couple tied the knot atop the Sunset Cliffs in San Diego, his bandmates helped him propose at the Eiffel Tower in Paris! They don't call it the city of love for nothing!
Dan Miller & Erin Miller: O-Town
Erin Miller has been through it all with her boy band husband, Dan Miller of O-Town. Miller was not even supposed to be part of the band initially! He replaced Ikaika Kahoano when he left the band for personal reasons. Erin was there as the band disbanded and then got back together almost ten years later.
They started dating in 2002. After two years of dating, they were married in 2004. Since then, they have had two kids together, a son named Major Lorenzo and a daughter named Navy Jean. After 15 years, the couple is still going strong and singing along to all the greatest O-Town hits!
Bobby Brown & Alicia Etheredge: New Edition
Alicia Etheredge is way more than just a boy band wife to New Edition's Bobby Brown. She is also his manager and was a longtime friend before they started dating! She even attended Brown's wedding to ex-wife singer Whitney Houston. The best foundation for a relationship is friendship. Right?
Brown and Etheredge are clearly living proof. Brown proposed to his partner at the Funk Fest Concert in May 2010. Two years later, they were wed in a ceremony in Hawaii. The couple has three kids together, Cassius, Bodhi, and Hendrix. These two are definitely "Lost in Love!"
Ricky Bell & Amy Correa Bell: New Edition
New Edition's Ricky Bell is not the only one with the entertainment gene in his family. His wife, Amy, began acting at only 11 years old! She is also a singer and was in a band called Sterling and Amy. They dated for six years before finally deciding to take the leap into marriage.
They were married on Ricky's birthday and shared their wedding with New Edition member Ralph Tresvant and his wife, Amber. The couple also released a love song about their love story and love for one another. After 15 years together, they are still finding ways to keep the romance alive!
Taylor Hanson & Natalie Hanson: Hanson
Natalie Hanson was encouraged by fellow band member and older brother, Isaac, to approach his younger brother, Taylor. So, she did, and they hit it off! They only dated for a year before the couple was married in 2002. Since then, they've welcomed seven children during their 20 years of marriage.
Natalie is a boy band wife and a writer, contributing to the baby naming website Nameberry. She even has a business with her sister-in-law Kathryn where they share inspiration for names and offer personal consultations. The self-proclaimed "southern girl" and her beau are seemingly happier than ever!
Zac Hanson & Kate Hanson: Hanson
Kathryn, who goes by Kate, also met her husband at a gig when she approached him with her future sister-in-law Natalie! The two girls went up to Taylor and Zac after a performance. The drummer of the brother boy band, Zac, did not seem to mind.
Zac and Kate dated for five years before marrying in June 2006 in Atlanta. They have a big family - although not as big as Zac’s brother, with five kids. The mom and boy band wife is also a “book club president,” according to her Instagram bio. The youngest brother of the group loves to show off his family on the 'gram.
Isaac Hanson & Nicole Dufresne: Hanson
Nicole has lived the dream of thousands of girls: She was busy enjoying a Hanson concert, probably singing along to MMBop, when Isaac spotted her in the crowd! He told the stage manager not to let her leave the show after it was over so that he could meet her. After spending the night serenading her, the rest was history.
His tactic worked because the couple began dating afterward. Three years later, they were married in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 2006 and now have three kids. She constantly supports her husband as the band continues to make music and tour worldwide. Today, the brothers are approaching their 30th band anniversary!
Matthew Morrison & Renee Morrison: LMNT
Renee must have been filled with Glee when she met the former boy band member Matthew Morrison. Before becoming hunky teacher Mr. Schuster on the hit FOX show, he was part of the boy band LMNT. The star introduced himself to the Hawaiian model at a party with a cheesy pickup line.
Later, Morrison proposed to Renee while horseback riding in Hawaii. They, too, had their ceremony there in 2014! Since getting married, they have welcomed two kids together. Today, Renee is an entrepreneur who offers classes helping to empower people. She also recorded a podcast documenting her experience giving birth.
Jamie Jones & Hanna Jones: All-4-One
Jamie may have been the one to organize the band All-4-One, but his lucky lady is the one who is behind the operations: His wife, Hanna, is also his manager! The So Much In Love singer was the one who got All-4-One their audition with the record label, where they were signed on the spot.
What is more impressive is the family Hanna and Jones created together. Today, the couple of 25 years have three kids and have become involved with organizations that are trying to help eradicate homelessness. "I Swear" that is a really long time!
Carlos PenaVega & Alexa PenaVega: Big Time Rush
She was a Spy Kid before she met him, but now Alexa PenaVega can add boy band wife to her list of credits! She has been married to Big Time Rush singer Carlos PenaVega since 2014. When they got married, they combined their last names into one. That is true dedication!
Carlos is no stranger to the entertainment world. Big Time Rush had its own show and movie on Nickelodeon. The couple even starred in a Hallmark movie, Love at Sea, set on a royal Caribbean cruise ship. They have three kids, and the family went on tour together for Big Time Rush's Forever Tour this summer.
Shane Filan & Gillian Filan: Westlife
Gillian Walsh was only 13 years old when she first met Shane Filan. Since then, he has gone on to be one of the lead singers of Westlife. The group has the most Number 1 debuts on the UK Singles Chart. The group was formed in 1998, disbanded in 2012... and then reunited again. Through it all was Gillian.
She was Shane's childhood sweetheart. They briefly dated when they were 13 until Gillian decided to end things. They stayed close as teens and eventually got back together. Later, they married in 2003. Today, they have three kids together and continue to love and support each other.
Scott Robinson & Kerry Robinson: 5ive
Out with the old and in with the new seemed to be the trend behind Scott Robinson's life: the day after his band split up, he married his love, Kerry Oaker. The breakup was not bitter, though, since all band members attended the wedding. The band sold over 1.6 million albums during the height of their careers!
Kerry and Scott have four children together and have been together for 24 years. Since the band's split, Robinson still enjoys working in entertainment. He serves as the radio host for Radio Essex on The Big Drive Home show. Kerry keeps a more private life but is often the token of Scott's affections in his Instagram posts.
Michael Clifford & Crystal Leigh Lauderdale: 5 Seconds of Summer
Their 5 Seconds of Summer has lasted a tad longer: Michael Clifford and Crystal Leigh Lauderdale have been together since 2016. Crystal is a talent manager and the Head of Brand Partnerships at Untitled Entertainment. Her husband is the lead guitarist of the Australian pop rock band 5 Seconds of Summer.
Clifford popped the question in January 2019, but the two were not married until 2021. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, they decided to have a secret ceremony in their home. While it may not have been flashy, it seems these two are living a "permanent vacation" - and we couldn't be happier!
Ralph Tresvant & Amber Serrano: New Edition
Amber Serrano just needs "A Little Bit of Love" from her boy band husband, Ralph Tresvant. The art designer dated the singer-songwriter in a double wedding ceremony with his fellow New Edition member Ricky Bell. Tresvant was the lead singer of the group.
Today, Serrano and Tresvant share a child, Dakari. Serrano was featured in the 2017 three-part biographical miniseries The New Edition Story that aired on BET. She has also toured with her musician hubby but tends to stay away from the spotlight for the most part.
