Our #FreeBritney hashtag officially worked! Britney Spears's 13-year long conservatorship was terminated on November 12. More recently, the Princess of Pop gave her fans a peek at what life is now like for the free 39-year-old.
Who hasn't seen one of Britney's sometimes odd, always adorable Instagram videos? Well, she posted yet another one just four days after she got her freedom back. In it, Spears describes how different her life suddenly is and tells her followers what day-to-day activities she can now partake in. Brit can now enjoy "owning an ATM card," "having the keys to her car," and "being independent."

She continues sharing her experience during the conservatorship, "I'm used to keeping peace for the family and keeping my mouth shut … but not this time..." the Grammy-winner added, "My voice was muted and threatened for so long." It looks like now she is not holding back! Spears even commented that her mom, Lynn, and the rest of the family that controlled her should be taken to jail for what they did. The Oops I Did it Again singer said the things they did to her were "demoralizing and degrading!"
The conservatorship was first legally put in order in 2008 because her behaviors were deemed unstable. The Toxic performer's father, Jamie Spears, was given complete control over Britney's estate, finances, and even her as a person. When fans found out what their favorite artist was going through, they took matters into their own hands. #FreeBritney began trending on social media, and more exposure was placed on the situation.
At the end of the video, she thanked her fans, "I wasn't able to speak up or say anything and because of you guys and the awareness of kind of knowing what was going on and delivering that news to the public for so long." Now, a plan is being developed to help Spears transition to her new life. And based on what she said in her Insta post, it looks like the star is happy and excited about it.
