Britney Spears Throws Shade at Sister’s New Memoir
| LAST UPDATE 10/13/2021
Oops, she did it again. Britney Spears has seemingly been throwing major shade at Jamie Lynn in recent months. And from the looks of it? The Princess of Pop has got lots more tea to spill. Here's what Spears had to say for herself about her baby sis's latest business venture.
It all started on Monday, October 11, when Jamie Lynn took to Instagram with a major announcement: "I can't believe I finally finished writing my book!!!" the 30-year-old star revealed of Things I Should Have Said. But the upcoming memoir has actually been a long time in the making...
"Back In 2017... I felt a strong conviction to share my story," Spears confessed, referring to her daughter's life-threatening ATV accident. Unfortunately, being the sister of a Hollywood goddess came with a lot of pressure. And it took her daughter's tragedy to realize that. "I’ve spent my whole life believing that I had to pretend to be perfect, even when I wasn’t... this process challenged me to have to be painfully honest with myself."
Aaaand suddenly we've got lots of questions. But while we'll have to wait until next year to get them, not everyone is as curious as we are. Of course, we're talking about Jamie's older sister, who wasted no time sharing her, um, thoughts.
"I'm thinking of releasing a book next year but I'm having issues coming up with a title so maybe my fans could help!" Britney teased on Instagram shortly after. "Option #1: S*** I really don't know and Option #2: I really care what people think," she teased. We see what you did there, Brit.
But this actually isn't the first time the Princess of Pop morphed into the Princess of Shade. Back in July, the Lucky singer took to Instagram to call out her baby sister for "hurting her deeply." "There's nothing worse than when the people closest to you who never showed up for you post things in regard to your situation." Safe to say, this story is just getting started.
Stay tuned. And don't forget to cop Things I Should Have Said this January.
