The Princess of Pop has faced many challenges over the past decade and a half - not the least of which came from her own family. The saga continues as Spears' lawyer steps in amid the dispute between Britney and her sister, Jamie Lynn, who has recently published her new memoir, Things I Should Have Said. And if you ask Britney, she might be saying just a little too much.

Jamie Lynn, 30, has been making public appearances to promote her new book and discuss some of the things she's written about. However, frequent mentions of her sister's 13-year-long conservatorship quickly earned her a great deal of criticism. In light of the publication of her memoir, Jamie Lynn appeared in an interview on Good Morning America to promote the book and discuss her own take on the conservatorship. Particularly furious with Jamie Lynn's comments was the Gimme More singer herself, who has previously emphasized that she holds her family responsible for the conservatorship. Following the interview, she bashed Jamie Lynn via Twitter, claiming that her sister was using her legal conflict "to sell a book" at her "expense.''

Following the interview, Britney's lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, released a cease-and-desist letter to Jamie Lynn. He warned the Nickelodeon child star that Britney had every right to take legal action against her, should she ignore her sister's demands to stop discussing the conservatorship. "Publicly airing false or fantastical grievances is wrong, especially when designed to sell books. It is also potentially unlawful and defamatory," the letter states. It also adds that if Jamie Lynn doesn't "cease and desist from referencing Britney derogatorily during [her] promotional campaign," then "Britney will be forced to consider and take all appropriate legal action."

For those who forgot, Rosengart played an essential role in ending the conservatorship and helping Britney reclaim her freedom. He mentioned in his letter that Britney, having endured enough struggles at the hands of family members, "will no longer be bullied by her father or anyone else." Jamie Lynn has yet to respond to these statements made on behalf of her sister. Stay tuned!
