Camila Cabello Opens up About Her Relationship With Shawn Mendes

As if Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes weren't already our biggest couple goals, they just got even cuter. The My Oh My singer recently opened up about their relationship and the lessons she's learned.

Cabello posted a romantic photo of her and Mendes on Instagram, along with a beautifully honest caption. "I've learned a lot about love with this guy," she wrote. "It's not just the happy blissful moments you see in pictures and videos." Don't worry, Camila didn't stop there.

The musician went on to say that being in a relationship with a significant other "feels like they are this mirror reflecting yourself back to you." Cabello explained that loving Mendes has forced her to confront pre-existing fears, anxieties, insecurities, and beliefs about the world.

"It's not as simple as it looks in pictures sometimes," she continued. "Sometimes, it's messy and uncomfortable and ugly lol. But there's nothing like the pull, the FORCE that is love, to be the light in the darkness- to be the gravitational pull that gives you the relentless strength to be... better than you were yesterday."

The artist said that love means getting "through the messy stuff" with each other. "And that's way more beautiful and raw and real than perfection," Cabello added. The Grammy nominee explained that she felt inspired to share her thoughts because of social media's unrealistic portrayal of life.

Cabello thinks that only showing our best moments with followers can have hurtful consequences. "I'm all for being vulnerable on social media because I think only the neatness and perfection of life is shown on here; and that can make us all feel extra lonely and weird!" Ironically enough, she only seems more perfect now!
