Cardi B made history at the 2020 AMAs as she became the first artist to ever win Favorite Song in the Rap/ Hip Hop category twice at the AMAs. This time, she won the award for her iconic collab with Megan Thee Stallion, WAP.

Cardi's first victory in this category came in 2018 when she was praised for her song Bodak Yellow, which was her first hit single. Clearly, this artist is unstoppable and likely has more in store for the future.
Cardi was unable to attend this year's AMAs, but luckily Megan Thee Stallion accepted the award on behalf of both of them. "Thank you, everybody, from me and Cardi. We super appreciate this," said Megan.

Since Cardi wasn't able to give a speech during the award show, she shared her appreciation towards her fans with an audio message on Twitter after the event. From the moment WAP was released, she and Megan have received a lot of feedback on the song, and they're incredibly grateful for those who supported the track's unique message.

Cardi and Megan sent a very distinct message in WAP, as they aimed to empower women through their unforgettable lyrics. Countless fans have praised the artists for expressing themselves in the song, including Christina Aguilera, who said it "Made her feel some type of way."

Halle Berry also revealed that she loves listening to WAP in her car to get some "me" time away from her children. It's no wonder Cardi made history with this song! Feeling left out? We got you boo: Find out what else you missed at this year's AMAs.
