Charlie Puth's Attempt at Drama with Selena Gomez Backfires

Fans quickly revisited the song's lyrics and videos, including one where Puth explicitly talks about his experience with Selena. He said that Selena, who he admits he had a crush on, wouldn't sleep with him and that made him frustrated. However, the meaning of the tweet is still unclear.

Many fans believe that Puth's recent attempts at inserting himself into Gomez’s narrative are attention-grabbing and petty, especially given the fact that the events he’s referring to took place nearly half a decade ago. Twitter users were quick to call out Puth’s behavior, stating that he should focus on delivering great music instead of creating unnecessary drama. While Puth's actions may appear to be a case of sour grapes, others believe that his comments are inappropriate and cast him in an unflattering light. Some are calling for Puth to take responsibility for his actions and focus on the music that he has been so successful in delivering in the past.
