It’s been ten years since Chrissy Teigen and John Legend's September 14 wedding in Como, Italy. On the couple’s tenth wedding anniversary, they decided to have a ceremony to mark the decade of being a couple and building their wonderful family together. So, they returned to their wedding destination this past weekend to celebrate this huge milestone. According to People, a source said, “It was very romantic. They arrived by boat… It was breathtaking to see them still so happy together.” Photos released by Page Six showed Teigen donning multiple black bridal looks for the event. The vow renewal ceremony took place later in the day, per People. The source continued, “There was dancing and there was a lakeside bar… It’s been a very elegant, very classic event.” The parents of four also had their kids there to commemorate the special moment.
Lake Como means more to the couple than just the place where they have said “I do” to each other twice now. According to an Instagram post uploaded by Teigen in 2016, this was the place “where it all began.” Accompanying a selfie of the model and her singer husband, Teigen wrote, “Back to where it all began – Lake Como, Italy – first came here in 2007. A boat tour guide took us to a little spot on the lake and told us to make a wish. I asked for this to be the man I marry and have children with.” How adorable is that? She continued with a joke in classic Chrissy fashion, “I think John asked for the most perfect bite of cacio e pepe. Both wishes came true, and here we are.” Flash forward to 2011, Legend proposed to his love, and the couple got married in a private ceremony at a New York City courthouse. Then they also exchanged vows and celebrated with friends and family in Lake Como.
