On August 3rd, Chrissy Teigen, wife to musical star John Legend, announced her pregnancy with her third child. Though hesitant to post, the former model was too overwhelmed not to share the big news with her fans, followers, and fellow celeb pals. While this is extremely exciting news, the journey to expanding their family has not always been smooth sailing. Let's dive right in, shall we?
We are over the moon for the Legend family. Already with two beautiful children, Luna Simone (6) and Miles Theodore (4), it is seemingly the perfect time for a new addition to their family. The pair have been married for nine years and continue proving the Hollywood dating history wrong. Chrissy began her career as a model and television personality. Commonly known for her host career on Lip Sync Battle, she also voiced the character of Crystal in Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation. As for husband John, he has been successful in his music career, winning over seven Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe, and an Academy Award for Best Music. Aside from double success, they have built a family life outside fame. However, while Chrissy expressed her love for having children, the couple, unfortunately, lost their unborn child, Jack, in October 2020.
Since their tragic loss, both Chrissy and John shared their grief over social media, breaking "a social taboo in recent years to speak out about pregnancy loss." Grateful for everything they have, Chrissy spoke on behalf of her and John, explaining "the last few years have been a blur of emotions, to say the least," and believed she would "never be pregnant again." They have been blessed once again with high spirits and an angel looking down on all of them. Of course, from their traumatic experience, Chrissy was not overly confident in sharing the news online but is "feeling hopeful and amazing." With her pregnancy glow shining in the Instagram post revealing the news, the couple received incredible support.
