Just a few days into 2021, Dua Lipa shared the news that her album, Future Nostalgia, has reached over three billion streams. The album was released back in March of 2020 and has clearly been loved by listeners ever since!

The artist has already earned herself two nominations for the 2021 Grammys, taking place later this month, for best pop vocal album and album of the year. Future Nostalgia includes her hit single, Don't Start Now, which topped Billboard's list for months.

Future Nostalgia turned out much differently than Dua's previous albums, as she expressed entirely different emotions. "It is a very happy album," said Lipa. "I feel like on my first record, the easiest thing for me to tap into and felt I could write about was my sadness, really."

"With this record, I felt like I could get out of my comfort zone, almost, and tell myself that it's okay to write happy things and really write about how I feel in the moment," Lipa added. "This album is purely about dancing and having fun and being free and being in love."

And that's not all that Lipa's accomplished so far this year; She's being featured on the cover of British Vogue in February. "Kicking off 2021 like the true chameleon that I am!" she shared on Instagram. "This was such a dream come true, and I feel lucky to have worked with some real legends on this one."

Dua also helped ring in the New Year as a part of the Hello 2021: The Americas virtual show on YouTube, along with some other famous faces. Overall, it looks like things are looking pretty good for Dua Lipa in 2021, and chances are, she has a lot more in store for the future!
