Taylor Swift has officially gotten the parental stamp of approval. As her newly-found relationship with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce continues to develop, Kelce's dad, Ed, spoke about his son's new girlfriend and what he thinks of the music superstar.
Ever since the football star and the Cruel Summer singer have gone official, Swift has been appearing at Kelce's NFL games. The singer is often seen sporting her boyfriend's team jersey and hanging out with celeb friends like Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, and Hugh Jackman. She has become the talk of the town and causing quite a stir among sports reporters and their fans. A TikTok trend featured her and Kelce as girlfriends exclaimed to their football fan boyfriends that Swift was putting Kelce on the map. However, there's one person she's been spending time with in the stands that matters more than the rest. That person is Ed Kelce, dad to football stars Travis and Jason Kelce. So, what was the eldest Kelce's impression of one of the biggest pop stars, aka his son's new girlfriend, TSwift?
Ed Kelce told People Swift is "a very, very sweet, very charming, down-to-earth young woman." He described to the media outlet about the first time he met her at a Chiefs game. "We're sitting in the suite, she gets up and in the front room, she gets up to go get a drink or something and she starts picking up empty bottles, cans, plates that are scattered around. Because in the suites everybody gets stuff and you empty it down wherever you can." He continued, "And I'm just thinking, I don't think she got the diva memo. She didn't get the spoiled musician. She doesn't know how to pull that off. And that really to me said a whole lot." It seems that Swift has Dad's official approval. Touchdown for Taylor!
