Ed Sheeran is a busy guy nowadays. The U.K. native just dropped a new single, Bad Habits, that's quickly climbing its way up the charts. But things are a little different since the last time Sheeran released music because the singer is now a father.

The A Team performer and his wife Cherry welcomed baby girl Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran at the end of August 2020. And now, the proud dad can't stop gushing about the pair's first child. Sheeran talked all things fatherhood and revealed whether the couple wants more kids during an interview on Kannon's Open House Party podcast.

"I think I've had a few changes in my life over the past two years, not least turning 30 and becoming a dad," the singer explained. "I feel like coming to terms with being an adult; I feel my 20s was this crazy whirlwind of partying and working and traveling the world and blah, blah, blah. Then everything stops, and I'm, yeah, just figuring out who I am."

So, does Ed want more kids? Absolutely. And preferably another girl, please. "I would obviously be super grateful to be able to have any more kids, but I think girls are far superior to boys," he admitted. "As a boy myself, I feel like I can say this."

But no matter what happens, Sheeran and the wifey are content with the current size of their family. "I feel like we were so lucky to be able to have one that I think I would obviously love more. But I think we're so lucky to just have one. So if nothing else happens, I'm so happy, basically," he explained.

The four-time Grammy winner also discussed how becoming a dad has brought him closer to some old friends. And it has something to do with a natural bond they share from being fathers. "I think that whenever you become a parent, you sort of enter into this club that all the other parents are in, and everyone understands each other," Ed said.
