Kylie Jenner and Jordyn Woods were once BFFs, but then a scandal created a rift between the two. Recently, however, they've been spotted hanging out. Has the storm finally passed? We're unpacking it all here.

Calabasas Girls

Before the cheating scandal that rocked the internet or a reality television show documenting every move of the Kardashian family, two girls, Kylie and Jordyn, were growing up in Calabasas, California.

So much has happened between Jordyn Woods and Kylie Jenner. However, before they met and became attached at the hip, they were just regular girls going through the milestones of teenagers. Let's go back to where it all began before cameras were rolling.

Keeping Up With Kylie

It's hard to think of a world before everyone knew who the Kardashians and Jenners were, but there used to be a time when that was the case. Well, maybe not quite. Kylie's father, Caitlyn Jenner but known as Bruce Jenner then, was an Olympic gold medalist. Her mother, Kris Jenner, used to be married to the late Rob Kardashian.

Jenner has an older sister, Kendall, who shares the same parents. The two Jenner girls have eight older half-siblings from their parents' previous marriages. When Kylie was only seven, her family started filming Keeping Up with the Kardashians, chronicling their daily lives. It was a runaway hit.

All About Jordyn

Jordyn Woods was born in Los Angeles to parents involved in the entertainment business. Her dad, John, was a sound engineer, while her mother, Elizabeth, worked as a talent and brand manager. Woods grew up in the neighborhood of Oak Park, California, but she moved around after her parents divorced.

Jordyn's dad spent many years working on the hit sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and he developed a close relationship with Will Smith. She refers to the Hancock actor as her uncle. Woods and her family ended up settling in Calabasas when she was 13, and she was homeschooled.

Mutual Friend

So, how did the two girls end up being connected? It was through none other than Jaden Smith. Jordyn, of course, had known Jaden forever. In comparison, Kylie met Jaden when they were in middle school. The two girls finally met the summer before high school.

It may have felt like fate, but it was actually a simple invitation. Jordyn said in a YouTube Q&A video, "You guys told me to come over one day, I was like okay." Kylie added, "You put your name in my phone with a purple heart, and I still have the purple heart in my phone."

Reality Check

After their first meeting, the girls became instant besties. Kylie and Jordyn started doing everything together. Woods became a seemingly permanent fixture on Jenner's social media. Their first post together was in December 2013, when the two girls wished Kylie's followers a Merry Christmas.

Jordyn started making appearances on the family's reality television show. It only made sense that Kylie's bestie would be featured on the show. At this point, Jordyn was practically an extension of the Kardashian clan. It felt like one didn't go anywhere without the other!

Plus One

Not only was Jordyn Woods included in filming for Keeping Up with the Kardashians, but she became integrated with every part of the Kardashian's lives. She was invited to the wedding of the century, aka Kim and Kanye's wedding extravaganza in Italy.

She attended New York Fashion Week and sat in the front row with Kylie by her side. The two girls also snapped pics and constantly posted each other on social media with captions like "twin souls" and "get you a best friend that looks at you like this."

Fashion Model

In 2015, Woods was discovered by a modeling agent on Instagram. She signed with the famous Wilhelmina modeling agency. Only a year later, Jordyn walked her first runway show for Lane Bryant and Christian Siriano. She also had her BFF looking out for her.

Kylie chose Woods as one of her models for Kylie Cosmetics. Duh! Jordyn also modeled for Khloé Kardashian's clothing company, Good American. The brand celebrates itself as an inclusive fashion brand "that celebrates all dimensions of female power." We love to see the girl power!

Supportive BFF

Jordyn was also pursuing business opportunities herself. When she launched her own clothing line, Kylie was there to support her best friend. Jordyn's collaboration was with the online fashion retailer Boohoo. Together, they created a size-inclusive line.

Kylie attended the launch party for Jordyn's collab with her boyfriend at the time, Tyga. Everyone came out to show their love and support. What else would anyone expect? Kylie and Jordyn were two peas in a pod. Everyone wanted a friendship like theirs, and fans were about to get an up close and personal look at it.

Life of Kylie and Jordyn

Keeping Up with the Kardashians was one of the biggest television shows. Many of the siblings started having their own spinoffs on E!, including Kourtney & Kim Take Miami, Khloé & Lamar, and Rob & Chyna. So, it only made sense that Kylie would get a spinoff show about her life.

Life of Kylie premiered on August 6, 2017, and the season had eight episodes. The spinoff followed the youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan as she navigated being a reality television personality, working as an entrepreneur on Kylie Cosmetics, and spending time with friends.

Getting Hitched?

Kylie's BFF, Jordyn Woods, was featured in every episode. It gave fans an up close and personal look at their friendship. The girls surprise a fan of Kylie's by showing up at his prom and being his prom date. Kylie set up Jordyn on a blind date. The girls even "get married" in a commitment ceremony led by a shaman in Peru.

The show wasn't filled with only fun and games, though. It also documented Jordyn's struggles with losing her father and Kylie's relationship with her dad, Caitlyn. Additionally, Jordyn even questioned her own life and pondered if she was living through Kylie or having her own.

"We Do Everything Together"

The Beatles once sang, "I get by with a little help from my friends," which seemed true with Kylie Jenner and Jordyn Woods. The best friends were constantly together and supporting each other. Everyone wants to have a friendship like this. Woods knew just how special their relationship was.

She told reporters at World Smile Day, "Having a best friend is, like, everything. I feel like everyone deserves a best friend. It's just like having someone you can call at any time." When reporters asked her if they would be friends forever, she responded, "Nothing's forever, but for as long as I can imagine, I believe so."

Globe Trotters

It seemed that this dynamic duo was invincible. Jenner and Woods were traversing the country and even the world together. They attended the Louis Vuitton runway show at Paris Fashion Week, went to Tristan Thompson's birthday party in matching outfits, and were constantly featured on each other's Instagram posts.

They really defined what it meant to be best friends at the time. It is hard to imagine that anything could have come between them. They were attached at the hip. Jordyn was practically another sister at this point. But what would later become of their friendship?

Roomies

For now, the girls had no idea what was about to happen. They were best friends, and it seemed like things would stay that way forever. In addition to being super close friends, the girls took it to the next level. They also lived together! Kylie revealed the news in a "get ready with me" video for Vogue.

While using her Kylie eyeshadow palette, the youngest Jenner shared, "I test out most of my stuff on Jordyn because we live together, so I'm like, 'Jordyn, I need you.'" Woods isn't alone in it, either. Kylie continued, "Everyone that comes in my house has tinted red arms from swatches and shadows."

Baby on the Way

The world speculated for months that Jenner was pregnant with her first baby. However, Kylie kept her pregnancy under wraps until she released a YouTube video announcing the big reveal. Of course, Jordyn was by her bestie's side when she found out the good news.

When Jordyn discovered Kylie was pregnant, she said, "Okay, well I guess we're both having a baby." Woods was by Kylie's side throughout the pregnancy. On February 1, 2018, Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott welcomed their baby girl, Stormi, to the world. Kylie was about to embark on the adventure of motherhood.

Kylie X Jordyn

While the two besties have supported each other in their separate ventures for years, they decided to combine forces this time. They announced through social media that they would release a Kylie X Jordyn collection through Kylie Cosmetics. The collection launched Friday, September 21, 2018.

The collab featured an eye shadow palette, a highlighter palette, two lip glosses, and lipstick. Some of the names of the eye shadows included Soul Mate, Sister, Ride or Die, and Loyal. Big sis Khloé congratulated the young ladies on their milestone, which was featured in a Keeping Up episode. 

Vacation Mode

In January 2019, the two girls took a beach vacation together with Kylie's daughter, Stormi Webster. They kept posting snapshots of the trip on social media. In one photo, all three girls wore matching neon green bathing suits. If that's not best friend goals, we don't know what is.

Even pop singer Justin Bieber was jealous of the getaway. He commented on one of the posts, "Wow lucky where's the invite to hails and i." The Kylie Cosmetics founder commented back, "loll you love birds can come next time." Except little did anyone know then, but there wouldn't be a next time.

Rumors Swirling

One morning in February 2019, Kim K got word that Jordyn was seen making out with Tristan Thompson, Khloé's boyfriend and baby daddy. On a conference call with Kourtney, Kim, and Khloé, Khloé told her sisters that she spoke with Jordyn, but "she's not giving me all the information."

The girls added Kylie to the conference call. Khloé updated Kylie on what she knew and said that she spoke with Jordyn, and "she was in between his legs." All of them were in shock about what was happening. The events unfolded while filming their reality show.

Major Confrontation

Things continued to play out. Khloé, Kim, and Kylie were all sitting together, discussing everything. None of them expected something like this to happen with someone so close to the family. Kylie said, "I called her and she didn't really say anything, she was just, like, you know, crying the whole time."

The youngest Jenner continued to explain, "I was just telling her that I'm, like, scared of you now… You weren't thinking about True… not Khloé, not me, but you weren't thinking about yourself." Kim commented about how Jordyn never said sorry. Would the best friends ever be able to bounce back from this?

Creating Distance

A rift was made between the previously inseparable duo. A source told PEOPLE, "For a long time it seemed like Kylie wasn't sure what would happen with their friendship. It was very difficult for Kylie to just cut Jordyn out of her life." Jordyn moved out of the house and into her own home. 

Meanwhile, Kylie slashed the prices of the Kylie X Jordyn collection to get rid of the remaining supply and discontinued the products. The loss must have been devastating for both of them. Additionally, Jordyn Woods no longer modeled for Good American. Their lives were forever altered by the events of that night.

Jordyn Speaks Out

A month after the cheating scandal broke the tabloids, Jordyn broke her silence. She went on Jada Pinkett Smith's Facebook Watch television show, Red Table Talk, to discuss what went down with Thompson and give her side of the story. So, what happened from her perspective?

Woods went through the events of the night. She said that after going out to a club with friends, they continued the party at a house. Woods said she was unaware it was Tristan's. She told Pinkett Smith, "I should have gone home after the party. I shouldn't even have been there."

"I Wasn't Thinking Right"

Woods told Pinkett Smith that she didn't give the basketball star a lap dance or make out with him. She also denied being "belligerently drunk to where I can't remember what happened." Woods did admit one thing. "I wasn't thinking right. I take full responsibility for that."

According to Jordyn, Tristan kissed her when she was on the way out of the house. "It was a kiss on the lips, but no tongue kiss, no making out, nothing." She also revealed that her family hasn't been able to leave the house because they're concerned for their safety.

The Kardashians React

When Khloé found out about Jordyn's Red Table Talk, she was not pleased. In an episode of Keeping Up, she reacted to the news, screaming on the phone, "My family was ruined!" During a sit down with the family, Khloé was hurt that Jordyn didn't apologize to her. 

The Good American co-founder took her emotions out on Twitter and faced backlash online. Khloé confided to Kim that she "felt bad," and she didn't put the blame entirely on Jordyn's shoulders for what happened. What was Kylie thinking throughout all of this?

For the Best?

Kylie, Khloé, and Kris took a girls' trip to Napa Valley. While they were out to eat, Khloé asked her baby sister if she missed her former best friend. Kylie responded, "I think that this whole Jordyn situation needed to happen - for a reason, for me, for her, for you, for everybody."

Jenner called Woods her security blanket. She continued confiding in her sister, "… I feel like there's a part of me that needed to grow without her. And sometimes people are there for certain reasons and certain times of your life and not for others." Lastly, Kylie expressed her gratitude for having her family.

Moving On

After Jordyn literally moved on with her life by moving out of Kylie's house, she also had to move on in other ways. She continued working in various aspects of the entertainment industry. She competed in the singing reality series The Masked Singer and made her acting debut on Grown-ish.

Woods worked with Easilocks to create a hair extensions line. She also teamed up with PrettyLittleThing and created a Quarantine Collection. That's not all! In 2021, Jordyn released a fitness and wellbeing app and named it FRSTPLACE. She also fell in love and started dating Karl-Anthony Towns in 2020.

Kylie Takeover

Since her fallout with her former best friend, Kylie also has continued to work and live her life. Kylie Cosmetics continued to succeed, and Forbes named Jenner the youngest self-made billionaire. She continued to release collabs with different members of her family.

She also released Kylie Skin, Kylie Swim, and Kylie Baby. Outside of her business ventures, Jenner appeared in music videos for Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber's Stuck with U and Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion's WAP. She also gave birth to her second child with Travis Scott. The couple had a boy and named him Aire. 

Meanwhile, Khloé and Tristan

Khloé and Tristan ended things after the scandal. However, flames reignited when the couple spent time together during lockdown. A source told ET, "Khloé forgives Tristan at this point, but she will never forget. They are back to being committed, are still in love and giving their relationship another chance..."

Cheating rumors continued to swarm Tristan, and he had a baby with another woman while he was still with Khloé. Then, in August 2022, the couple welcomed their second child via surrogacy. While things are over between Tristan and the Kardashian, they co-parent their kids together.

Best Friends Forever?

It has been years since the cheating scandal that ended Kylie and Jordyn's friendship. The former best friends haven't been spotted together since the shocking turn of events. The soul sisters were no longer posting each other on social media or sharing their lives.

Life has moved on for both women. Kylie is now a mother of two and a very successful business owner, while Jordyn has a blossoming business of her own and a serious relationship. But recent news has everyone freaking out - the former besties were photographed together again.

Making Peace

Jenner and Woods were photographed leaving a restaurant together in Los Angeles. After they were spotted together, the press went wild. A source told People Magazine, "Jordyn reached out to Kylie to apologize for how everything went down and let her know that she loves her."

Four years after their monumental falling out, they were seen together in a completely unexpected turn of events. Another source told PEOPLE that this outing wasn't the first time the friends spent together. They have actually been hanging out in private, working on their friendship.

Khloé Reacts

What did Kylie's older sister have to say about her reunion with Jordyn Woods? While she never came out to say anything specific about the photographs, fans speculate that Khloé's Instagram stories from that day are about Kylie and Jordyn's public reunion.

The Kardashian posted a quote that said, "Never blame anyone in your life. The good people give you happiness. The bad people give you experience. The worst people give you a lesson. The best people give you memories." Another read, "It takes grace to remain kind in cruel situations."

Back Together Again?

Are the former BFFs back on? Will Kylie and Jordyn be able to work through their issues and build trust again? We can only hope for the best for both girls and have our fingers crossed that they can move on. A source told Us Weekly, "It's a work in progress and they're taking it slow."

According to this insider, it was Kylie's big sis Khloé Kardashian that gave the green light to reunite with her old friend. The insider said, "Khloé is all about forgiveness and moving forward, so Khloé is OK with Kylie seeing [Jordyn]." Only time will tell if these best friends are back together again. Stay tuned!
