Gigi Hadid Writes Heartfelt Letter to the Paparazzi About Baby Girl Khai
| LAST UPDATE 07/07/2021
It looks like Gigi is taking a page out of Sophie Turner's book when it comes to her privacy desires for daughter Khai. The supermodel wrote a letter to the paparazzi asking them to "blur" the baby girl's face when snapping shots. Here are all of the details.
It's no secret Gigi and Zayn have been keeping their daughter's appearance on the DL. While the couple blesses us with pics of Khai's back or blurs her face out in pics, we've never gotten a real look at the (likely stunning) baby girl. But we count our lucky stars and say thank you for what we do get, like that time the mama-of-one shared some lovely photos of their nursery.

And Gigi is asking the paparazzi to do the same. "As our baby grows up we have to realize that we can't protect her from everything the way we wanted to and could when she was smaller. She loves seeing the world! And although she gets a lot of that out near our farm, she also gets to experience other places - a true blessing," the starlet's letter began.
Hadid then detailed why she decided to speak out about this topic now. "On our most recent visits to New York, she has started to want her sun shade lifted up (something she is used to at home) and helps herself to it," the letter continued. "She doesn't understand why she's covered in the city, or what I've wanted to protect her from. I also want her to see the most amazing city in the world + the beautiful and diverse people that walk down the streets of NYC."
But the 26-year-old mom wants that under one condition: "Without the stress of the media circus that comes with parents who are public figures," she clarified. "I know the laws change State to State, and I've seen some paparazzi photos of kids in NYC with their faces blurred - but, from asking around, I believe that comes down to the integrity of the photographer, publications, or fans sharing the images."
"Our wish is that she can choose how to share herself with the world when she comes of age, and that she can live as normal of a childhood as possible, without worrying about a public image that she has not chosen," Gigi explained. "It would mean the world to us, as we take our daughter to see and explore NYC and the world, if you would PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE blur her face out of the images, if and when she is caught on camera." Time will tell if the paparazzi (and fans) listen. We'll have our fingers crossed for our girl G... and hope for more blurred-face pics on the Gram soon.
