With The Little Mermaid getting ready to go into post-production, Halle took to the Gram to share the highs and lows of living in Italy while filming the upcoming movie. "After auditioning for this film when i was 18 just about to turn 19, to now finishing filming through a pandemic when i turned 21 ..we have finally made it," the actress began her sentimental post.

The honest gal admitted that despite being surrounded by A-list actors and gorgeous scenery, being on set wasn't all rainbows and butterflies. "I feel so grateful to have experienced this film in all of its glory," Bailey continued. "It has been the toughest experience being away from everything and everyone i've ever known, to feeling self doubt/loneliness, but also feeling such freedom and perseverance as i've reached the end."

The 21-year-old also gave a shoutout to her amazing co-stars, expressing appreciation for the "lovely" and "talented" Jonah Hauer-King (Prince Eric), Jacob Tremblay (Flounder), Javier Bardem (King Triton), Melissa McCarthy (Ursula), Awkwafina (Scuttle), and Daveed Diggs (Sebastian). It looks like Halle might've had a hard time being away from the fam, but the cast sure made it as comforting as possible onset.

The actress said that her co-stars were "so welcoming and open to little old me." But perhaps the best part of the post? The behind-the-scenes shot that Halle blessed us with (below). The Grown-ish starlet looks stunning as our new Ariel, surrounded by the ocean and a gorgeous sunset.
