JoJo Siwa Breaks Her Silence on the Break-Up
| LAST UPDATE 11/03/2021
The internet was buzzing for the past week as rumors circulated that our favorite it-couple, JoJo and Kylie, had parted ways. And finally, JoJo Siwa took the mic to share her side of the story.
It seems that as we were all speculating, JoJo was gathering the strength to officially address that she and her girlfriend had split up after nearly a year of dating. She chose to join Paris Hilton on her podcast, This Is Paris, to share her story. "I have yet to talk about this officially, publicly, but we broke up," the Dancing with the Stars contestant confessed. "But she is literally still my best friend. I talked to her yesterday." It seemed as though JoJo was committed to maintaining a connection, even if they couldn't be together. "She just got a new puppy. She's awesome," the viral star continued to explain.
Most importantly, Siwa wanted to clarify that the break-up did the two of them a world of good. "She's having the time of her life," JoJo explained happily. "I'm having the time of my life." And thankfully, the split didn't mean goodbye for her and Kylie. "I'm really lucky that I didn't lose her completely because, you know, even though relationships end, friendships don't have to end." The 18-year-old felt grateful overall, adding, "I was very happy that it can be because that's all I wanted."
But that doesn't mean that the break-up wasn't a tough blow for JoJo, but she chose to focus on the positives. "I'm really happy that I can remember all the fun times," she said to Paris. "And nothing bad happened; it just is the definition of a cheesy saying of 'Right person, wrong time.'" Plus, the famous dancer found comfort in her young age and perspective on the whole thing. "We're both so young; she's 17, I'm 18," JoJo continued, adding that everything was "all good," and she would "take a bullet" for Kylie out of devotion.
Don't mind us; we'll be tearing up at how special JoJo and Kylie's connection is. And we're sending lots of love Siwa's way! You can listen to the full interview here.
