It's been a while since Justin Bieber was splashed with slime on the Nickelodeon stage, but this year, he's making a long-awaited return to the Kids' Choice Awards. Bieber is set to perform two of his hit songs during the award show, which will air on March 13th. Let's hope he's ready to get slimed, just like he did back in 2012!
"The Kids' Choice Awards was my first awards show, and returning to share my new music is a full-circle moment," Bieber shared. "Although the show may look different this year, the KCAs are always a ton of fun, and there will definitely be no shortage of slime." In addition to performing at the show, Justin's also been nominated for five awards: Favorite male artist, Favorite Song (Yummy), and three nominations for Favorite Music Collaboration.
All of these nominations make Bieber the top music nominee at this year's KCAs. He was meant to perform last year, but unfortunately, the global pandemic got in the way. The show will be hosted by the one and only Kenan Thompson, who's no stranger to Nickelodeon extravaganzas. Thompson also received an award for his work on the comedy series All That in 2000. "Nickelodeon has been part of my life and my family forever, and I can't wait to host this year's Kids' Choice Awards," Kenan shared.
"Am I worried about getting slimed? Naaaah," he continued. "It's going to come fast and cold, but it's not my first rodeo - you know what I'm saying? So, bring on the slime, and let's do this!" Besides preparing for his performance at this year's KCAs, Bieber just put on the first-ever TikTok concert on Valentine's Day. He performed songs from his 2013 album Journals and revealed that it's one of his favorite albums.
"I'm grateful to TikTok for helping me to bring this new show to everyone on Valentine's Day," Bieber shared before the event. So, anyone out there with Bieber Fever, stay tuned for more excitement from this talented artist, including his performance at the 2021 Kids' Choice Awards!
