It's no secret that celebrities often deploy tactics to look and feel their best on the red-carpet appearance. While that is admirable in itself, Kim Kardashian, the thriving overachiever, took it all a step further and gave up treats for the entire month leading up to the Met Gala. So when the night was over, how did she celebrate her freedom? With a pizza and doughnut party, of course!
Gasps were audible when Kim Kardashian walked onto the steps of The Met, adorning the exact dress worn by Marilyn Monroe during her famous "Happy Birthday Mr. President" appearance. With her boyfriend, Pete Davidson, on her arm, Kim looked breathtaking in the silver floor-length gown, which showcased her slimmed figure. Those who were not gushing over the gorgeous couple were wondering what Kim did to fit into this iconic dress that could not be altered for obvious reasons...
"It was such a challenge," Kim told Vogue correspondent and best friend LaLa Anthony on the red carpet. "It was like a role. I was determined to fit." She also revealed that "the dress was transported by guards, and [she] had to wear gloves to try it on." "I always thought she was extremely curvy. I imagined I might be smaller in some places where she was bigger and bigger in places where she was smaller. So, when it didn't fit me, I wanted to cry." That's when Kim told them to give her three weeks to lose 16 pounds to fit into it.

"I didn't starve myself, but I was so strict," she assured. While she achieved her goal, she was undoubtedly happy to ditch the diet as soon as possible. Immediately after the Gala, Kim hosted a doughnut and pizza party in her hotel room. Luckily for us, she uploaded the footage to Instagram for us to let in on the fun virtually. "So, after the Met, I am starving," she said in the background while showing off the food. "And my favorite donuts in the entire world, in New York City, are these mini donuts... You guys, I haven't had carbs or sugar in almost a month," she noted. "Definitely three weeks. This pizza - I'm so excited!" Bon appétit!
