The moment we thought would never happen has finally arrived. Kim Kardashian and boyfriend Pete Davidson are Instagram official - and fans are understandably losing their minds! As Kim Kardashian took to Instagram recently to post her first photo alongside her new boyfriend, the internet came alive. This bold choice to broadcast the official nature of their relationship on her extremely popular social media account was perhaps the star's attempt to shut down all the haters and non-believers. Because isn't that how it works? It may sound kinda high school, but as far we're concerned, a relationship is just not real until Instagram confirms it to be so. So, how did this all begin?
Taking it back to September 2021, newly separated Kim Kardashian (still West at the time) announced she would be hosting SNL for the first time. Her monologue in which she roasted her entire famous family was hilarious, and fans went crazy for her brilliant and entertaining skits. However, more than her apparent comedic talent, fans could not stop talking about her on-screen chemistry with SNL star Pete Davidson. The pair even shared an on-screen kiss in a scene where they played the iconic Jasmine and Aladdin.
Following her appearance on SNL, the pair were spotted holding hands on a roller coaster, and they have been inseparable ever since. They've been photographed together holding hands on multiple occasions, and in a recent interview with People, Pete lovingly referred to Kim as his "girlfriend." Of course, many people, including her ex-husband Kanye West, have publicly criticized and doubted the validity of the relationship. Fortunately, Kim is too happy and in love to care - and these photos are here to prove it!
A newly single Kim posted a series of Instagram snaps, two of which included her comedic boyfriend. In the first image, the pair is sitting on the floor looking lovingly into each others eyes, and the second appears to be an elevator selfie taken by Davidson. Of course, the star-studded comments section was just as exciting as the photos themselves. "I love this," commented her sister Khloe Kardashian. Kim's famous friend, Simon Huck, couldn't help but also comment on the iconic moment. "There he is!" he commented alongside a fire emoji. What relationship milestone is next for the couple? Stay tuned.
