In case you missed it, our girl Kim Kardashian is helping design some of the Olympics athletes' wardrobes for the upcoming games. And it's kind of a big - and by that, we mean huge - deal. Here's why.

So here's what's happening: SKIMS is providing the U.S. Olympic athletes with lounge wear, sleepwear, and undergarments. Don't worry; we non-Olympians will have the chance to shop a capsule collection of the designs. So why is this such a monumental moment? For starters, Kim's brand was founded in 2018... Around three years later and it's already being worn by some of the most popular athletic stars in the world. And it's not just that.

SKIMS has now joined the likes of Nike, Adidas, Levi's, and Ralph Lauren, which have all dressed Olympians in the past. But Kimmy joining the club marks the first time a celebrity brand is in charge of dressing the U.S. Olympic athletes. See why we're freaking?

Kimmy recently took to social media to share the exciting news. "I am honored to announce that @SKIMS is designing the official team USA undergarments, pajamas and lounge wear for the athletes this year in Tokyo and the same pieces will be available in a capsule collection at SKIMS.COM," the reality TV star wrote.

And then she got sentimental about why this collab is so important to her. "Ever since I was 10 years old, I've heard every single detail about the Olympics from my stepdad. As I would watch the athletes compete, I would grow to understand the dedication and honor being a part of the Olympics embodied," Kim said.

Kardashian went on to share how she traveled with Caitlyn all over the country for her track meets and Olympic trials. "At every stop I would buy an Olympic t-shirt as a souvenir," Kimmy explained. "When I received the call inviting Skims to be a part of @TeamUSA, every moment I've spent admiring the strength and energy of the Olympians from the sidelines came full circle." The Olympics kick off Friday, July 23rd, so make sure you shop your SKIMS looks before then.
