Kim in Hot Water After “Ruining” Met Gala Dress
| LAST UPDATE 06/16/2022
Our girl Kimberly just can't get a break, can she? While the Met Gala is (unfortunately) over and done with for this year, the drama hasn't gone anywhere, as stories from the glamorous night continue to surface. And perhaps no surprise, that means that Kim has found herself in the spotlight once again...
It started with her controversial confession about her crash diet to fit into Marilyn Monroe's infamous dress - and has only blown up from there. Now, people on social media are coming after Kardashian because pictures have surfaced of the dress that she borrowed. And it appears that there's noticeable damage. For a little context, Kim rocked the $4.8 million gown for a "matter of minutes" while strutting down the red carpet before swapping dresses for a replica to avoid straining the pop culture artifact. But in the footage that showed Kim getting ready for the May 2nd event, a team can be seen struggling to get the dress to fit, resulting in some heavy tugging at the dress's back. So when pictures of the dress post-Met surfaced online, people were pretty quick to point the finger at the SKIMS founder.
In the photos circulating online, a before and after picture shows that rhinestones around the back zipper are missing, in addition to damage along the dress's edges. "Kim completely ruined the dress. Look at the f***** jewels torn off," one Twitter user ranted. "I just can't. I gotta log off for my blood pressure." More hopped on the bandwagon, voicing their frustration. "Sick to my stomach, like how could @KimKardashian be okay with ruining this precious piece of art. This dress will never be the same." However, despite the major hate getting thrown Kimmy's way, some people are pointing out that the "before" picture is actually six years old, meaning that the damage wasn't necessarily all on Kim's shoulders.
One thing's for sure, this doesn't seem like it's going to blow over any time soon. So be sure to check back for more updates on this explosive Hollywood tea.
