Lady Gaga managed to raise a whopping $10 million in a spontaneous surprise FaceTime call with Apple's CEO, Tim Cook. During an episode on The Tonight Show, Gaga certainly made an impact with her 'One World: Together at Home' fundraising project.
The fundraiser supporting the World Health Organisation's fight against corona has already raised over $35 million in just seven days.
Speaking to Cook on the show, Lady Gaga said, "We spoke last night about a certain number for the donation and it was quite sizeable. I just wanted to make sure we were OK on that this morning - can I confirm you for that donation?"
To which Cook excitedly responded, "Yes, you can confirm me. We are so proud to be a part of this." Later on, Gaga revealed the number of the generous donation.
Gaga has been working with a few businesses in order to help raise money. "We are all so very grateful to all of the healthcare professionals across the country and around the world who are on the frontline during COVID-19," said Lady Gaga.
"This global pandemic is a catastrophe. I am so grateful to them and I'm also praying for those who are sick. It's been a pleasure to partner with Global Citizen and we have been working together behind the scenes to raise money for the World Health Organisation." It goes without saying, but this singer is a mover and a shaker.
