It looks like Los Angeles's most eligible bachelor is officially taken. Lil Nas X is breaking the internet one more - this time with details of his personal life. In a recent interview with Variety, the singer opened up about his new romance. Here's everything we know so far.
The Montero (Call Me by Your Name) singer opened up about his sexuality roughly two years ago after the release of his first single. And coming out as he rose to fame was no coincidence - Lil Nas X did that intentionally for the LGBT+ community. "That was a heavy month," he recalled. "I definitely knew that I would lose a lot of the fans that I was gaining, but I also knew that others would [be supportive]."
But the singer said that the highs and lows of coming out in our society got his creative juices flowing. "Having that release helped me so much creatively - I probably wouldn't even be here right now, talking about the things I'm talking about and being that voice for so many people," Lil Nas X said. "It's so much more of a journey when there's more to it than just making catchy songs, you know?"

So what do we know about the 22-year-old's romantic history (aside from the clues given to us by Montero, of course)? Lil Nas X shared how he knew he was gay from a young age and had his first official relationship at eighteen. A few years prior, "there was a guy who wasn't my boyfriend, but we met in middle school, and we talked after we both found out that each other were gay," he explained.
As for what's happened since that first beau about four years ago? Well, it's been quite the ride. "I've had some good boyfriends and some bad ones," the performer shared. "A lot of them were emotionally unavailable or had a lot of insecurity and whatnot." Ah, a tale as old as time. But don't worry - the Industry Baby singer finally found a gem.
