Miley Cyrus sure showed us the Best of Both Worlds during her Hannah Montana days. In honor of the show's 15th anniversary, Miley Cyrus made a special tribute to the unforgettable series. She shared a detailed and emotional letter on Instagram, and Hannah Montana fans are certainly feeling nostalgic. Apparently, even after revealing how much the series negatively impacted her childhood, Miley still has a special place in her heart for her dear old friend, Hannah.

"In reality, there was a time in my life when you held more of my identity in your glove than I did in my bare hands," Cyrus wrote. "We had an equal exchange in which you provided me a superlative amount of fame in return for the anonymity I could gift to you." Hannah Montana first premiered on Disney Channel on March 24th, 2006, and managed to win over millions of viewers. It seemed like just about every young girl was fascinated by Miley's double life. So, when the series came to an end after four seasons, loyal fans were devastated. But still, Cyrus couldn't escape her alter-ego, going on tour as both Hannah and Miley.

In the letter, Cyrus reflected on her first audition for the show, as she was in an entirely different phase of her life. "I couldn't have imagined while taping myself singing 'I Love Rock & Roll' against a white wall in my mom's friend's kitchen in Nashville, TN, the name taped in marquee style letters on the front of a first draft script would make my wildest dreams a reality," she wrote.

Hannah Montana is currently available for streaming on Disney+, and as for Miley? Well, she's certainly evolved since her Disney Channel days. Earlier this month, the 28-year-old released the music video for Angels Like You with an inspiring message. "I never would have thought that when I wrote Angels that the first time I would be performing this song or shooting a music video would be in a time like this," Cyrus shared on Instagram.
