The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have made a significant decision about their future in the Royal family. Just over a year after the couple announced their decision to take a step back from their Royal duties, Queen Elizabeth II has confirmed that the couple will not be returning as working members of the Royal family.
"In stepping away from the work of The Royal Family, it is not possible to continue with the responsibilities and duties that come with a life of public service," explained the Queen's message. The statement ends positively, "While all are saddened by their decision, The Duke and Duchess remain much loved members of the family."
"The honorary military appointments and Royal patronages held by The Duke and Duchess will be returned to Her Majesty before being redistributed among working members of The Royal Family," assured the statement. Ready to focus on the family they're creating, Meghan and Harry will soon celebrate their son Archie's 2nd birthday.
But, there might be more to their departure than we initially thought! "We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother," a spokesperson for the couple told People. Meghan and Harry's 2nd baby is on its way! A close friend of Meghan, Misan Harriman, remotely photographed the couple's heartfelt pregnancy announcement.
"Meg, I was there at your wedding to witness this love story begin, and my friend, I am honored to capture it grow," Harriman captioned her Instagram post.
