Selena Gomez has been incredibly successful over the years, especially with her music career. But now, she's embracing her heritage, as she's working on her first-ever extended play in Spanish. Gomez is extremely excited about her upcoming album, Revelación, which will be released on March 12th.

"This has been something I've wanted to do for 10 years, working on a Spanish project, because I'm so, so proud of my heritage, and just genuinely felt like I wanted this to happen," Gomez shared in an interview with Apple Music's Zane Lowe. "And it happened, and I feel like it's the perfect timing. Just with all the division in the world, there's something about Latin music that global just makes people feel things."

"It is something that needed to be precise, and needed to be respected by the audience I'm going to release this for," Selena continued. Earlier this month, Gomez released De Una Vez, a song that was entirely in Spanish, which will be a part of the upcoming album. "Of course, I want everyone to enjoy the music, but I am targeting my fanbase," said Gomez.
