Tom Felton Finally Speaks on Emma Watson Romance Rumors, "We've Been Very Close for a Long Time"

Was Harry Potter's Tom Felton and Emma Watson's romance right under our noses this whole time? Twitter was buzzing this past weekend with hook-up rumors from the stars' time on set. The now 33-year-old actor decided to set the record straight once and for all.
Our former Draco Malfoy sat down with Entertainment Tonight to speak on the theories. "We are something if that makes any sense," the movie star admitted. "As far as we've been very close for a long time." Felton didn't hold back when complimenting his former on-screen nemesis, "I adore her, I think she's fantastic... Hopefully, she returns the compliment." But don't get your hopes up too much, you guys... Because Tom had an important clarification to add.
"As far as the romantic side of it, I think that's a Slytherin-Gryffindor thing rather than a Tom and Emma thing," he explained. Felton was, of course, referring to the bitter animosity that existed between his and Watson's characters throughout the film franchise. From sneering comments to punches in the face, Draco Malfoy and Hermione Granger rarely saw eye-to-eye throughout the eight films. But that didn't get in the way of the connection off-camera, apparently.
"I absolutely think the world of her," Felton said. And though the Harry Potter icon claimed that there were never any sparks between him and Emma, he still had nothing but positive things to say about his time on set with the Beauty and the Beast actress. "For her to be, kind of, the enemy girl... Certainly, the youngest one on the set [and] to grow up with what she had to grow up with, was incredibly exciting," Tom recalled. The two spent the majority of their adolescence together through the series' decade-long run. From 2001 to 2011, Felton and Watson were together nearly every moment, either filming on-location or touring for premiere events. Safe to say, those ten years were full of positive memories.
It looks like this Entertainment Tonight sit-down finally put the romance rumors to bed. While Felton was full of compliments for his former co-star, according to him things were strictly platonic. So all that's left is to hear what Miss Watson has to say about it all. And we know Hermoine could mix a killer love potion... Just sayin'.
