Since finally confirming their relationship, Zendaya and Tom Holland have quickly become 2021's it-couple. And as much support as they have on social media, the two lovebirds have been struggling with the public eye.
The stars of Spider-Man: No Way Home got real during their joint interview with GQ, where they talked about how important privacy is during a relationship - and how, unfortunately, they didn't have much of it. "I think loving someone is a sacred thing and a special thing," the Dune star explained. "[It's] something that you want to deal with and go through and experience and enjoy amongst the two people that love each other." But ever since paparazzi snapped Zendaya and Holland's PDA-fest back in the summer, they haven't really known peace.

"It was quite strange and weird and confusing and invasive," Zendaya recalled of the moment the tabloid pictures surfaced. But at the very least, she and Tom had the support of one another, and were totally on the same page about it all. "The equal sentiment [we both share] is just that when you really love and care about somebody, some moments or things, you wish were your own," Zendaya said. And when it came to Tom's turn to share, he couldn't agree more with his girlfriend.
"One of the downsides of our fame is that privacy isn't really in our control anymore," he admitted to GQ. "And a moment that you think is between two people that love each other very much is now a moment shared with the entire world." It's clear that Tom and Zendaya both value their privacy and felt that something had been taken away from them that they could never get back. "We sort of felt robbed of our privacy," Holland confessed. "I don't think it's about not being ready. It's just that we didn't want to."
