Bravo is the hub of all things reality and drama. Though we might not think it, these episodes from the past decade are far from scripted and have captured some of the most unforgettable TV moments.
Aviva Drescher's Prosthetic Leg
It's no secret the housewives of Bravo love to get together for a little round table confrontation. After all, they do get paid to share what's going on in their lives, and that means no holding back.
What started as an asthma query quickly escalated to extremes when the housewives of New York City began branding Aviva Drescher as fake. Her only option was to throw her prosthetic leg onto the table, claiming this was "the only thing that is artificial and fake" about her.
The Infamous Table Flip
Now, when it comes to the housewives of New Jersey, these are the ladies that no one should mess with. These women are all about family, and once you mess with one family member, everyone becomes involved - no ifs, or buts. When Teresa invited The Manzos, The Lauritas, and The Staubs to dinner, it was no happy gathering.
When Danielle Staub's ex-husband released the book Cop Without A Badge, Teresa was shook after name changes and arrests came to light. While Caroline Manzo stepped to stick up for her family, Giudice went full Hulk mode, yeeting that table right at Staub. Lesson learned: never lie to a housewife from New Jersey.
Shereé Whitfield vs. Party Planner
Planning a party can be stressful, no matter how calm we try to remain. There's so much to take care of so that everything is perfect leading up to the big day. When Sheree was planning her Independence Party, she made it very clear she wanted to be 100% involved. But that didn't sit well with the planner.
Sheree claimed, "every time I ring up concerns about the party, to Anthony, I get attitude." Anthony, the planner, claimed he offered "tentative" suggestions, but these ideas quickly vanished - and Sheree was not impressed. The meeting ended in a scream-fest and close calls, but Anthony was no match for Queen Sheree.
The "Clip Clip" Moment
Dorinda Medley is a crowd favorite out of the housewives of New York, despite being a mid-late addition. She stole the show with her authenticity and honesty. Plus, she is not afraid to hold back her opinions and set the record straight. But when it comes to her relationship with Sonja Morgan, it hasn't always been smooth sailing.
Once again, one of the biggest TV bust-ups happened at the dinner table. Morgan mocked Medley about being a professional businesswoman, and Medley wasn't having it. Snapping her fingers shut in her face, she shouted, "Clip! clip!" Aka, Dorinda's way of saying; please be quiet right now.
Jen Shah's Arrest
If you're a real Bravo and housewife fan, then it's not a secret that Jen Shah is currently the most wanted woman in Salt Lake City, and not for a good reason. She's recently been convicted in a "telemarketing scheme" and has just started her 78-month prison sentence as of February 17th, 2023.
In Season 2 of Salt Lake City, the girls were all set to go on a trip. Yet, when Shah asked to turn off her mic, she fled in a truck with her aunt. The women were later surrounded by federal agents looking for Shah. They initially thought it was a prank, but soon realized their friend had been living life (feloniously) on the edge.
Sip, Sip, Throw
There was nothing quite like the on-and-off battle between Kim Richards and Lisa Rinna. It was clear from the get-go that they didn't see eye-to-eye, especially since Rinna constantly watched Richards' behavior. But when the crew hit Amsterdam for what they thought would be the ultimate relaxation trip, things turned sour.
While Kim Richards was too busy pointing fingers at the ladies around her, Rinna's lips were sealed until she hit a breaking point. One thing we learned from this scene was: never touch or talk about Harry Hamlin. Unless you'd like a glass of wine out of Rinna's hands coming your way. Drama? Check. Spilled wine? Double check.
Game Night Smackdown
Brandi Glanville didn't have the smoothest entrance when she joined the Beverly Hills housewife gang in season two. It's not easy being the new girl on the block, but with Brandi's outlook on life, it was more than difficult for the rest of the girls to sympathize with her. Regardless, they tried to organize a 'happy' game night...
Soon enough, Rinna would no longer be the only Beverly Hills addition Kim Richards had altercations with. It was Richards vs. Glanville in the ultimate smackdown. Glanville was known for her 'call it like I see it' attitude, and when Kim threw accusations at her, Glanville could only agree for her sake.
She'll Stop Traffic
As we've already established, when it comes to the Housewives, they're not afraid to share their entire life story on national television. And let's be real, they practically run the town. So we weren't too surprised when Kelly Bensimon marked her territory by owning the city like a boss.
Kelly Bensimon joined the NYC housewives in the second season of the show. She immediately coined the term 'Kelly Time,' explaining that something always fun will happen once she arrives. She set a headstrong and Queen attitude for herself early on, running through streets in the middle of traffic.
Turks, Tequila, and Trouble
There is nothing you can do to hold the fort down on these New York ladies. Let's just say, what happens in Turks & Caicos, stays in Turks & Caicos. During a wild night out, the ladies discovered that Luann de Lesseps had brought a mysterious man home. So they wasted no time telling Lesseps exactly what they thought about it.
Can everyone just be cool for a hot sec? Luanne was having a good time, living her best life, and made it clear she did not appreciate these ladies raining on her parade, complaining about the guy left upstairs. However, little did Luanne know the guy she brought home was married. Yikes...
Margaret Vs. Danielle
Back in New Jersey, half the ladies were gathered around a sobbing Margaret after an X-rated video of Danielle was leaked. In the other corner, there was Danielle, who didn't seem so blindsided by what was going on. What was initially meant to be a glorious event turned into a smackdown.
Margaret couldn't help but back the allegations made against Danielle's ex-husband, and made it her mission to keep him away from Danielle. Comments and names like 'trout-mouth' and 'drowned rat' came into play, and the next thing we knew, water was being swilled, bags were being emptied, and ponytails were being yanked - yikes!
Battle Of The Joe's
Next up: what happened in Jersey. Unlike the typical Jersey Shore situations, these screaming matches were between real husbands, in sickness, and in health. This time, it was all about the husbands, not the wives, and it was a twist of dramatic events once the word 'scum' was dropped.
When it comes to family beef, and especially when family comes first, anything can trigger a full-blown fight. After gathering the Gorgas and Giudices on a family retreat to settle a long-standing feud, there was a major showdown. Both Joes went full tackle mode, to the point where the wives and production security had to break it up.
Bad Bunny To The Bone
There's so much drama we don't know when to stop. So while we've established the ladies don't discuss the husbands, what about stuffed animals? During the season seven reunion for RHOBH, Andy Cohen reminded Kim Richards how Lisa Rinna gave her a bunny for the birth of her new grandson.
However, everyone was shook when Kim brought the giant bunny gift with her to the reunion to return it to Rinna. She confidently announced that it "didn't feel like it had good energy." It was bad bunny vibes, and Rinna's face dropped. She did all she could to make amends, but it just wasn't the right time. The reunion was silent.
The End of Kyle Richards & LVP
Don't cross Lisa VP and her dogs. In season nine of RHOBH, a scandal involving Dorit Kemsley, Vanderpump Dogs and Radar Online got in the middle of Lisa and Kyle Richards' friendship. When Kemsley adopted one of Lisa's rescue dogs, the fashion designer and mom of two claimed it started to nip at the family, which didn't sit lightly.
After it was leaked that Kemsley allegedly returned the VP dog, Lucy, all signs pointed at Mrs. VP herself. Kyle took it upon herself as Lisa's bestie to question her loyalties. Ultimately, the feelings of betrayal, defending, and questions broke trust and their friendship. We can hear Ken scream, "Goodbye, Kyle!"
Let's throw it back to when Atlanta boss babes Kim Zolciak-Bierman and Sheree Whitfield were once frenemies rather than besties! It's crazy to think how back and forth these friendships go, even after alterations go to extremes. Specifically, Kim and Sheree, who didn't always get along, once got caught up in quite the tussle.
Think back to season two drama, with Nene Leakes playing the role of peacemaker. But let's just say it was more like an "intervention" gone wrong, which led to a wig-snatching fiasco at a local restaurant. After Sheree grabbed Kim's hairpiece, she claimed, "I did not want to pull it off—I just wanted to shift it a little bit."
Kyle Vs. Kim
Kyle and Kim Richards are not your typical on-screen sisters. Though they grew up in the same spotlight, it's safe to say they don't share the same outlook on life. The two have been on a complete rollercoaster of emotions since The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills took off, and season one was there to prove it.
It's no secret Kyle has always found it difficult to defend her sister's behavior. They're enemies one minute, but BFF's the next. But things went from 0-100 real quick during one wild limo ride, when Kim's battle with alcoholism spilled out for the world to see. And - surprise, surprise - the husbands were brought into it.
Belly Dancing Breakdown
Fans can agree season 2 of RHOBH was not so easy to watch. Despite the drama between the ladies, it was definitely heartbreaking to watch fights unfold right before our eyes. Taylor Armstrong's struggles were still being kept under wraps at the time, although they started to become more obvious after her sporadic meltdowns.
When Brandi Glanville hosted a belly dancing party, the ladies didn't exactly get their groove on. There's no party without some sort of confrontation - and that's precisely what ended up happening. It was a complete screaming match, resulting in Brandi asking her to leave.
Sisterhood Is Good, Right?
Our all-time fave, Marlo Hampton, dropped the ultimate bomb at a girl's dinner, asking fellow housewife Kandi Burrus. Marlo had questions, wondering if she was hiding any secrets about her sexuality. While the women sat around talking about sisterhood, Marlo took this opportunity to put her cards on the table.
Kandi has always been an open book, especially with her ladies. Everyone was like, "Whaaat?" One by one, everyone asked, "who said that?" Clearly, there had been discussions behind backs, leading to speculations over who spilled the tea. While no one owned up at the table, it turned out to be Ms. Phaedra Parks stirring the pot.
Dallas Frat Party Disaster
The ultimate drama went down in Dallas, but this wasn't exactly at one of the ladies' lunches. It actually took place at a 90s-themed frat party. What was meant to be a fun night of throwbacks turned into a beer-bonged brawl between Brandi Redmond and LeeAnne Locken after a history of chaotic beef exploded.
When Stephanie Hollman's frat bash in the season three finale got wild, even Cary Deuber had to jump in and rescue LeeAnne. She was dressed as Cher Horowitz - a bit ironic, as she seemed far from clueless. After comments were made regarding alcohol, apparently, "drinking a lot" is different, and when things got physical, it was the final straw.
Fashionista Face Off
There might be a pattern here, as it's always Marlo caught up in these bust-ups. As time went by on their tour bus, hour by hour, the ladies were slowly adjusting to the fact that Marlo and Eva wouldn't reach any kind of agreement. But, the fiasco seemed to be about runways, fashion pieces, and losing a few pounds. What?!
Marlo was not so convinced that Eva had the same fashion and runway experience as herself, which quickly turned to throw shady comments left, right, and center. It was the talk of Tokyo, and the comments kept coming until someone was willing to back down.
Karen's Emotional Exit
We're pretty used to confrontation and argumentative reunions - which, of course, gives us the TV drama we all need - but when things get too emotional, Andy Cohen knows it's time to draw the line. In the season three reunion of The Real Housewives of Potomac, explosive arguments led to emotional exits.
While Andy Cohen tried to disclose the ongoing beef between Karen Huger and Gizelle Bryant, things went downhill after the loss of both Huger's parents came into play. Cohen understood the conversation was too "raw," and Bryant decided a moment like this was too out of character for her not to step in and be there for her friend.
More Mama Joyce Antics
Everyone seems to be getting pretty tired of Mama Joyce's widely open opinions. Joyce, Kandi's mom, is always spilling the tea and stirring up drama, right? Well, this time, she really pushed it and made up a juicy rumor about Carmon (Kandi's BFF) getting a lil too cozy with Todd, Kandi's fiancé!
While family members and Carmon gathered at the bridal shop for Kandi, a wildly off-topic discussion was going on outside of the dressing room. Things got heated between Carmon and Joyce over silly allegations, including Joyce being unhappy about her daughter marrying Todd. She even tried to throw a shoe!
Another Dinner Party Fiasco
Camilla Grammer's reputation on RHOBH took a turn for the worse after she hosted one of the worst dinner parties in Real Housewives' history. Yes, a few drinks had already been knocked down, and when Camille's medium friend Alison started making some predictions, it all kicked off.
The ladies were intrigued by Alison's power, and she responded, "don't tempt me," insinuating tricky predictions. First things first; everybody knows Kyle and Mauricio Umansky are the no.1 married couple in Hollywood. But then Alison told Kyle she would be "unfulfilled" in her marriage - and, well, you can probably guess how the dinner ended.
Cohen Caught in the Crossfire
Ding, ding, ding! It's yet another family feud between the housewives of New Jersey - only this time, poor Andy Cohen got caught up in the middle of it! During the reunion for season two of the show, Andy Cohen brought attention to the heat over Danielle not calling Jacqueline after her baby was born, despite them being very close.
These women weren't afraid to lose their tempers. Teresa got involved after Danielle questioned if she acknowledged her nephew, to which she then got up in Danielle's grill screaming, "DO NOT BREAK UP MY FAMILY." Andy stepped in to calm the situation, but it was no match for the wrath of Teresa, who the pushed him down.
Birthday Bash Gone Wrong
Another classic meltdown award goes to the one and only Dorinda Medley. She might just be the realest housewife we've ever come across, considering she continues to invite the ladies to her beloved house in the Berkshires. But we all know once they down a few cocktails in the Hamptons, topics will be raised - and so will voices.
Luann de Lesseps was fueled by Bethenny Frankel over hanging around casually with men. Now, Dorinda invited these women for her birthday, and she was not impressed with her 'friends' behavior. She reached a boiling point, and when things were taken to the kitchen, she had enough, yelling, "I decorated, I cooked, I made it nice!"
Love Or OZ?
Get ready for some major drama cause the fiery love-hate dynamic between Ashley Darby and her new Australian husband/business partner, Michael, just reached a boiling point! Besides their love, they shared a passion for business. Yet, this was always a risk, putting love on the line for a restaurant.
However, they made their dreams come true, both romantically and with their new restaurant, OZ. But after the opening, they struggled to see eye-to-eye in most situations which turned into an epic clash of egos. Things got so intense during OZ's soft opening that everyone's left shook - and rumors of a divorce are going around.
A New York Affair
What is reality television without a cheating scandal? Things went south in New York when Bethenny Frankel had to spill the beans to Luann about her man, Tom D'Agostino. Apparently, Tom was cheating on Luann in a rather indiscreet manner at a prestigious hotel on the Upper East Side.
Frankel had announced to Lessep, with visual and written evidence, that D'Agostino was caught kissing another woman at The Regency hotel. Although he claimed not to remember the incident, Lessep and Frankel shared the exact time frames in which it happened, while other elite socialites were gathered around. Now everybody knows.
'I Am Very Rich'
When Nene Leakes and Sheree Whitfield sat down to clear the air, they ended up doing the exact opposite. This has been branded one of the most iconic scenes from the series, with some unforgettable lines. Nene explained to Sheree, "I have no desire to get out of character with you," but when money is involved, it will be messy.
A business situation between Sheree, Nene, and Tyrone, a promoter, became messy when shady phone calls were made. It was a little awkward for Nene when her decision to get her former assistant on the phone didn't go as planned. Caught in her own muddle, she was forced her to exit and announce that she definitely has money in the bank.
Camille Grammar Takes Vegas
Camilla Grammer had an early exit from the series. But viewers noticed her shift in behavior when she was out on the town, as opposed to when she was with her ex-husband, Kelsey. When the gang decided to head off to Vegas, we saw a whole new Camille.
When Camille introduced herself in the first season of the show, she proudly announced she had been a dancer her whole life. However, she felt that since her marriage, she didn't have as many opportunities to let loose. She claimed dance is her "freedom" and how she "expressed herself," and she definitely did in Vegas.
When Erika Jayne, Lisa, Ken, Dorit, and PK all gathered for a quaint lunch, things quickly turned awkward. Lisa told Erika, "Kyle needs some underwear," to which Miss Jayne replied, "I don't have any." Her joke seemed to have missed the mark, and no one at the table was laughing.
It turned into a whole saga which Dorit took upon herself to share lightly with multiple friends. Despite her husband expressing he was rather uncomfortable with, the underwear-gate continued for a few episodes. It even resulted in Dorit gifting a pair of skin-color undergarments to Erika. Yikes.
Last but not least, we can't forget the #Scandoval that is currently unfolding right before our eyes. It's everywhere on social media, and we are far from surprised. VPR audiences are stunned by the cheating scandal that resulted in Tom Sandoval and Ariana Madix's nearly decade-long relationship with Ariana Madix coming to an end.
Both parties of the scandal posted public apologies to Ariana and others hurt by the situation. But fans may need some time to get over this one. Fellow co-stars, including LVP and ex-SURvers, have spoken out on behalf of Ariana, even sharing juicy details that have yet to be shown in up-and-coming episodes. Stay tuned!
