Fashion designer and former Spice Girl, Victoria Beckham has been a fashion icon since the '90s. Yet despite fans' admiration for her style, Beckham seems to have the toughest critic living with her at home. The 48-year-old revealed that her 10-year-old daughter Harper is not a fan of some of Beckham's former fits. Here's what she had to say.
During an interview with Vogue Australia, Beckham said, "She's [Harper's] not one of these kids who are going out with a full face of make-up and a crop top. She actually said to me recently, 'Mummy, I've seen some pictures of you when you were in the Spice Girls, and your skirts were just unacceptable. They were just too short." These days it seems like every young girl, especially the ones scrolling on TikTok and Instagram, is obsessed with everything fashion and beauty. But not Harper - she's into more of a natural look, which to be fair, seems pretty normal for her age!
Beckham went on to explain to the magazine that her husband, David Beckham backed up everything his youngest (and only) daughter was saying. "Then David piped up and said, 'Absolutely, Harper! They really, really were,'" she added. "And she was actually quite disgusted at how short my skirts were. I said, 'Are you never going to wear skirts like that?' She said, 'Absolutely not.' We'll see." As for how Posh Spice herself felt about her old style, she admitted that she doesn't "really miss those outfits." (Other than her Hermès Birkin bags and Tom Ford by Gucci pieces, of course.) But at the end of the day, she was one of the only girls in the band who took an outside-of-the-box approach with her clothes. "The other Spice Girls weren't really into fashion, so I was fortunate to be able to take up most of the budget," she admitted about the allowance the group's record label gave them.

Beckham went on to explain to Vogue Australia that Harper might have these opinions because she's not yet allowed to be glued to her iPhone. "Harper isn't on social media, so we don't have to worry about that just yet. But seeing how cruel people can be, yes it really does [concern me]," she opened up. "She's at that age where her body is going to start changing, but it's about making sure that we communicate a lot as a family, and she surrounds herself with nice friends. But it is quite terrifying - I can't lie."
