Bella Poarch is one of the most followed creators on TikTok, with over 80 million followers. And if that wasn't enough, she recently expanded her resume to include becoming an accomplished singer. So fans were shocked to learn that the popular influencer almost quit TikTok back in the day...
Bella revealed that online harassment and bullying drove her to nearly quit the video streaming site when her following began to grow. Poarch's hit single Build a B*tch garnered over 300 million views on YouTube and was partially inspired by Bella's experiences being bullied over her looks when she was younger. That inspiration might be exactly what made it so relatable to listeners, getting it millions upon millions of views.

Ironically, the bullying that inspired her hit song hasn't exactly stopped since rising to fame. The 24-year-old revealed in a recent interview the immense hate she received after blowing up on TikTok. "I was reading 10,000 comments one by one," Bella admitted. The online bullying caused her to go into a severe depression.
Poarch said that things were so bad, her therapist suggested that she "stop uploading altogether." Bella's dreams of being a singer kept her going through those dark days when the online bullying was nearly unbearable. "I thought, 'This is probably an opportunity for me,'" Bella explained. "If I start letting my fans know that I love music and that I want to be an artist, maybe it will work out."
Now, her dreams of making music have come true and fortunately, she has plenty of fans to outweigh the spiteful haters. "I know there are a lot of people who are doubting me but I'm working so hard," Bella shared. "After I released Build a B*tch, my confidence just shot up."
"I go through my messages and people have said the song helped them with their confidence," Bella continued. "That's why I'm making music." We're not crying, you're crying.
This girl is only getting started and we can't wait to see what new projects she releases next. Stay tuned.
