Will Smith has opened up about his feelings regarding Jada Pinkett Smith's upcoming memoir in an interview with The New York Times. Jada's book, Worthy, set to release on November 1st, promises to reveal some surprising stuff about their marriage, along with her struggles with mental health and alopecia areata.

"It kind of woke me up," Will wrote in an email to The Times, explaining that he realized that being with someone for a big part of your life can make you emotionally numb. The Bad Boys actor added, "And you can all too easily lose your sensitivity to their hidden nuances and subtle beauties." Jada has been open about her mental health struggles and alopecia areata, and her memoir is expected to shed more light on her marriage to Will and these challenges. She mentioned, "We hadn't figured that out."

In an interview with NBC's Hoda Kotb on October 11th, Jada explained that they kept their separation under wraps because they weren't ready and were still trying to figure out how they wanted to present themselves to the public as a couple. Over time, they both got caught up in idealized versions of each other, instead of seeing each other as they really were. According to Jada, she'd even been surprised to hear Will call her his wife during the infamous Oscars altercation between himself and Chris Rock in 2022.

But amid all the buzz Jada's revelations have caused among fans of the Smiths, Will decided to take a break from social media. This happened during Jada's book tour where she revealed that the couple has actually been separated for seven years. Will has recently posted a video on Instagram where he was happily napping on a boat, and he captioned it with, "Notifications off :) Fun fact about me is that I can take a nap almost anywhere." Jada reacted to this with two laughing emojis in the comments. We're not sure if Will's break from social media is to avoid comments about his relationship with Jada or if he just wants some time to focus on himself. But something tells us we'll find out soon enough. Stay tuned!
